“It's a nice facility and the staff is really nice.I had to knock off a couple stars just based on my experience with the clientele and not really being able to have a peaceful stay.If you're there on business and need to get rest near a weekend, you may want to stay elsewhere. This hotel seems like it's the "rec center" for a lot of local families.Lots of locals staying there inviting friends up for get togethers that run late.Kids running up and down the halls (wood frame construction means you'll hear/feel it all) not even attempting to dry off after leaving the pool and dripping puddles in the lobby/elevator.Dogs barking. The smell of pot wafting through the halls.Adjoining rooms (with the doors that connect them) don't really do much to isolate sound. If you can hear your neighbor speaking at a normal tone, you can imagine what it's like when they're partying or have younger kids.Generally a clientele void of what some consider to be basic courtesies. All of the signage you'll see spread throughout regarding "quiet time" and smoking policies should be a warning when you get there that this is an ongoing problem that, based on my stay, they're apparently unwilling to actually enforce other than just posting those signs. If you're a person concerned about mask policies, they don't enforce those either - whichever way you happen to swing on that loaded subject.Granted, all of the above not necessarily being *easy* to enforce most of the time, but nonetheless, an issue if you just want a quiet place to stay if you're there for business.(and no, moving to a different room in the middle of the night isn't really a viable option)I'll look elsewhere if I have the need to stay in the area in the future.”

“Awful service by assistant general manager, Matthew. We had two families book this hotel 2 months ago. We planned to stay one night so we were closer to airport prior to our family vacation. Hoping to have kids swim and get dinner and drinks together. When one of the families arrived at 5pm with a 3pm check in, they were told their room was given away!! They literally did not receive a phone call or anything asking if they were still coming to stay at the hotel. Again, they were only two hours later than normal check in! Matthew at front desk tried to make it seem like he was doing them a favor in comping another room at a hotel down the road. The hotel of his choice was a 2star Marriott. We took it upon ourselves to find a different Hyatt in Naperville, we called them and talked with a very kind lady who said she would hold a room for us. I cannot believe a Hyatt would overbook their hotel and not even contact a family to ask them if they were planning to stay. Why do people even have to book hotels in advance if that means nothing? Very very frustrated with Hyatt and will definitely never stay at the Oak Brook hotel.”
