“Great vacation! Beautiful villas, nice beaches, amazing infinity pool, great kitchen and very friendly and still smiling staff :-) If you have budget totaly recommend villa with private pool - it is bigger, more luxury, equiped with nespresso machine, large bathroom. Beach villa is also great (we were in both). For dining on the island half board is minimum. This resort is not best option for families with small kids, there is not kindergarden and playground, but if you dont have expectations you can still enjoy it (we were here with 2/4Y old kids). If you have small kids villa with private pool is very good choice.”

“My boyfriend and I went to Velassaru in back February and returned a month later as we loved the place so much. Even though it has been months since we came back and life has been continued to be so busy, but I decided to take a moment to express my gratitude. My boyfriend and I had been apart from each other for more than a year due to Covid 19 and we decided to treat ourselves in dream destination-Maldives. So having a great time and making meaningful memories during this vacation was so important for us. And during our one month vacation we not only had an incredible time living our life to the fullest, but also we made life-time memories seizing every moment. In one word, Velassaru is out of this world. We stayed in Water Bungalow and Deluxe Villa. We were blown away by the level of effort from the entire Velassaru staff, from grounds crew to housekeeping to management. They provided impeccable service. So many smiling faces everywhere, it was extremely welcoming. The resort itself is just outstanding. It is super clean, bug free and surrounded by beautiful coral reefs. It is conveniently located near the wall of coral reefs where we had an incredible time diving multiple times. But I realized what makes Velassaru so special is the efforts of its crew. Especially, the management team of Marjorie and Mohamed, Immersion Diving Centre staff Rhys and the resort doctor- Dr. Hassan delivered above and beyond level of service in making our stay at Velassaru extraordinary. Marjorie and Mohamed really took their time to listen to us and our story. And they seamlessly provided us world class experience with such attention to details. Dr. Hassan frequently visited and took care of us when we had sunburns and heat stroke. We felt so safe having Dr. Hassan as on-site doctor in resort. My boyfriend and I did our first diver ever and successfully completed Padi Open Water license with Rhys at Immersion Diving Centre. Rhys is such an incredible teacher who is extremely knowledgeable and pays great attention to details of each student’s needs. He is kind, thorough, patient and supportive. And not to mention Rhys has a great sense of humor which was a plus for us making our sessions more enjoyable. He patiently walked us through Open Water program step by step. He taught us everything we needed to know in order to successfully complete the program on time. We heavily relied on Rhys during our dives and we felt safe, comfortable and joyous through out our dives because Rhys made sure of that by checking in with us at all times. He also made us this amazing Go Pro video of us diving with him. Overall our first diving experience was a blast!! So I want to take this moment to thank Marjorie, Mohamed, Rhys and Dr. Hassan for their world class service. We absolutely will return. We highly recommend this place to anyone who is planning to visit Maldives and making life-time memories.”
