“Very disappointing experience in the bar of this hotel. My wife and I ended up leaving after 15 minutes having endured being ignored by various members of staff for long enough. I approached the manager to ask if we could have a table cleaned after the previous party. He did so and never returned to take our order. I then approached a second member of staff asking if he would mind taking our order. I pointed out where we were sitting and was assured that he would oblige. I observed while he proceeded to take orders from other tables and decided that I’d had enough of this unprofessional carry on. As we left, I explained to the young bar manager that we had been ignored despite making our presence known twice. The manager interrupted me and spoke over me while I tried to communicate my complaint. As I reminded him, a good manager listens to customers and accepts feedback. Having visited this hotel many times, I won’t be returning.”

“I went for the vegan afternoon tea - and it was really top quality - I've had many of them in Dublin and that one was the best - it really was excellent in terms of the creativity and the quality of the cakes. Maybe I would have made the scones bigger and added a vegan version of the cream, but it was excellent and I'd highly recommend it, hats off to the chef and the team.”
