“Staff gave us a two double mattress room when I reserved a King bed room. Hotel is right next to the airport so you get to hear all the aircrafts taking off if your trying to relax at the beach or the pool. Old school hotel layout, construction from the 70's or earlier, exposed to the elements walking around the hotel. The room is not sound proof so if you need to be up early you can hear the blarring shows/party in your room as if you are there but trying to sleep. Hotel does not stock the room, iron, iron board, or minifridge, standards in 2021. You have to lug around an old school lock and key to access your room and only get 1 key that's it.... Overall hotel system is outdated. Oh and don't even think about brining your friends who are staying at another hotel on the property, or even in the lobby, they will be escorted off the property by Security immediately according to the no guest policy. Good luck getting service at the restaurant after you get your initial drinks. 4 star hotel? According to who???? I would not plan on staying here again or recommend.”

O Hotel tem uma área externa ótima, com um ambiente agradável e uma piscina espetacular que geralmente está com poucas pessoas. Dependendo do quarto que você fique a vista é de tirar o fôlego, que foi o meu caso. Está localizado em frente a melhor e mais bonita praia da ilha para se banhar, dando uma volta nela você percebe isso. A comida é boa e farta. Algumas coisas decepcionam, começando pelo atendimento de alguns funcionários, não são todos, mas muitos atendem de cara feia e não são muito solícitos. No início da hospedagem o quarto cheirava mofo, mas depois de um tempo foi amenizado. A limpeza do quarto também deixou a desejar e teve um dia que nem foi limpo, tive que ir até a recepção do hotel pra solicitar a mesma. As refeições são feitas em um só restaurante e só podem ser feitas no mesmo. Não se pode levar nem um pratinho com "belisquetes" pra outro ambiente. O all inclusive tem algumas limitações de horários, se você sentir fome de madrugada , por exemplo, está perdido, pois o jantar só vai até às 22:00 e não servem mais nada. Por ser considerado um dos melhores da ilha, acho que o hotel poderia ser bem melhor, vi que estão construindo outros e espero que sejam melhores, pois este paraíso merece!

Não tem ar condicionado nos bares e no restaurante!! Bebida quente em copos pequenos e plásticos !! Apesar de ser all inclusive não tem basicamente nada no frigobar nem água gelada no quarto!! Esta es la segunda vez que viajo a este hotel, en ambas oportunidades me fue bien, con algunas excepciones, pero que no pasan desapercibidas y más porque son del servicio de parte de los empleados, en los bares los Barman, en mi concepto, muy poco afables, siempre que fui a pedir algo los saludaba y no respondían, no se les percibía esa amabilidad y ganas como a muchos otros empleados de este hotel y de otros de la misma cadena. En su restaurante internacional Islander, que está afuera del hotel, la atención fue pésima, malisima, de hecho, leí varios comentarios de otras personas y decían lo mismo, estoy seguro que como es con reserva, a la cual se tiene derecho por estar en este hotel y no se paga nada por ir, es que son tan perversos con los clientes y lo digo porque en varias mesas que estaban al rededor, vi que no eran del hotel, pagaban y estos fueron atendidos mucho más rápido y mejor, aún llegando después que mi familia y yo. Tuve que mantener mi mano alzada un buen rato para ver si alguien me miraba, pero pasaban y se hacían los locos, luego cuando nos atendieron, fue de afán y eso que a penas era la 1 de la tarde, se demoraron mucho para traer los platos, a diferencia de los que si pagaban, adicional, sería bueno que extendieran un poco más la carta y no solo a 3 platos, por algo se paga caro en este hotel. Las instalaciones son muy bonitas, la piscina es excelente porque es muy grande, lo cual facilita que no haya mucha aglomeración de gente, la habitación que me dieron fue muy amplia y reconfortante, el aseo muy bueno, el restaurante del hotel muy rico, la verdad me sorprendió su gran variedad de comidas todos los días, la ubicación es lo mejor, porque sales y tienes la playa al frente, eso si, lleve plata porque cobran por todo. Disfrute mucho mi estadía y ojalá mejoren para que esas estadías sean cada vez mejores.

El peor hotel!!! El personal siempre te atiende de mala ganas, no son amables y hasta te tratan mal. Al pedir algo es como si les estuvieses molestando. Ni saludan. La limpieza de las habitaciones es pésima, no cambian las sábanas. El buffet tiene comidas malas, nada es aceptable. La app para reservar nunca funciona. Y tiene que reservar de 6 am a 7am sino ya no encuentras sitio para comer algo decente. El gym no tiene absolutamente nada y lo que tienen es viejo y en mal estado. Todas las bebidas te dan en vasos de papel, muy desagradable todo. El WiFi no funciona. Y el gerente del hotel me maltrato al ir a reclamar todo esto. Para hacer el check in tardaron 1hrs y 15 min. NUNCA reserven este hotel.

Pésima atención, si se llega antes de check in cobran solo para estar dentro de hotel. Esa es la bienvenida de hotel, sálganse afuera, y caminen hasta que sea la hora, nos dijeron.Hay que pagar por cada persona solo por entrar al hotel. No ingreso posible.

Es un hotel de 4 estrellas, las habitaciones son normales, tienen aire acondicionado, hacen aseo todos los días a las 9 am, por pandemia el buffet lo sirven las personas del hotel y hace falta que uno pueda seleccionar las cantidades que uno desea, hay tres bares de los cuales el personal lo atienden bien, hace falta shows buenos pero en si le doy 4 estrellas. Al frente esta la playa donde hay que solicitar toallas pero la playa no tiene carpas lo cual hay que alquilarlas a un precio de 35.000 para ayudar a los nativos de la isla, el agua es clara y hay pocos peces en el lugar. El restaurante The Islander nos pareció una comida no muy buena, los jugos sin sabor y los platos son como de un hotel de 3 estrellas, le baja mucho la calidad al Isleño.

What a disappointment. If I had an option to put no stars, I would have. I have heard great things about Decameron from friends and family, but when I came it was a whole different story. We came in at 2:10pm and they told us to wait till 4pm for our room. ALOT of people were waiting for their rooms in the lobby and they came earlier. If you were hungry and wanted to eat you would have to pay to eat until you were checked in. The service was HORRIBLE. Some people, NOT ALL, were very rude. No one showed us around the resort or told us any information about the resort. We were told look for ourselves and we were lost. The internet was not even working. You have to come to the lobby for it to work, and it barely did. Almost everything had to be done with reservations. And you have to make the reservations early in the morning unless you will not get the spot.The beach had no lounging chairs instead they had tents with chairs inside. The place was not that clean either. From experience, I honestly do not recommend to stay here at all.

Need some improvements, but I’m general is a good hotel.
Cons: all inclusive. In front of the beach.nice pool. Close to the airport (5min walk). Place to rent the golf cars just in front of the hotel. Good common areas to chill.
The buffet had many options, some days were better than others, but in general it was okay. The Sassonmed restaurant was really good. Only thing is that they have the same menu everyday :/.
The gym is not that big, but it has what’s needed for a workout.

I went in at the beginning of April this year 2021 and the service was terrible. The resort’s photos of the rooms and whole facility do not look what it looks in person. In person, resort looks old and not well maintained. The drinks were almost not drinkable, staff was not polite at all and few waitresses were rude. My bed was hard as a wood table and floor was dirty old tile no rug or nothing. This has been the worse all inclusive resort I have ever stayed. And it’s more frustrating because I paid over a thousand dollars for only 3 nights . There are better deals out there at better resorts . The island San Andreas is beautiful but you will get more out of your trip and budget if you just stay at a regular hotel and pay everything separate

Nice place to chill out and enjoyed vacations. For families and couples. Actually with pandemia time, it is a good option you have everything in the same place, nice room with balcony,three meals and snacks time, open bar almost all day, swimming pool and beach in front of the hotel, shows and performs at night. Activities like aerobics, yoga, dance class, gym during the day. With all the biosecurity protocols and nice and kind attention and environment. 🌴🇨🇴🌊 Enjoy it!!

The worst customers services ever I had a deal with. They don't try to accommodate the customer, they made the customer feel like a second class citizen, we arrived around 11 am and we were told that we have to wait between 3 to 5 pm to get our room and if want to use the facilities while waiting we must pay 45,000. Colombian pesos per person. I work for the airline industry for almost 16 years and we have been all over the world and the courtesy received its been great except in the hotel Decameron - Isleño.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, Do not try to show up before 3 pm otherwise, you will be subject to seat in the lobby.

I loved this place but there still quite a couple of things to be improved, the internet connection and to make sure employees have all relevant information for guests. Sometimes they were confused they did not know the location of main facilities. But other than that it is a nice place to stay in SAI.

Resort All Inclusive na Ilha de San Andrés. Por ser considerado o melhor hotel da ilha, foi um tanto dececionante. Ele tem ótimas piscinas, a praia em frente ao hotel tb linda e tranquila. O quarto confortável com um banheiro grande. O problema fica por conta das refeições, com poucas opções, repetitivas e logo esfriava. Ele possui apenas um restaurante tipo buffet e um a la carte, o qual vc precisa enfrentar uma fila pela manhã pra reservar. Os snakes são servidos apenas entre as 15 e 17 horas, em um local fechado. Fora isso só as refeições mesmo. O clube de praia Rick Kay que pertence ao hotel tb muito bom e tem que reservar pra passar o dia com direiro ao all inclusive tb. Outro ponto negativo éo atendimento. Os funcionários geralmente de mau humor , com exceções, claro. Outro ponto fraco é que não tem shows noturnos,apenas musica ao vivo com 2 grupos se revezando em cada noite num local meio improvisado no lobby. As bebidas servem o dia todo, mas são de baixa qualidade. Se vc der a famosa "propina", eles tiram as boas bebidas que ficam escondidas. Para um resort mais ou menos como esse o valor das diárias é muito alto. Cerca de 1.200 reais.

O Resort é realmente muito bonito. A piscina é maravilhosa e o quarto super amplo. A localização é ótima, em frente ao mar de SAN Andrés e super perto do aeroporto. Mas acaba por aí. Se alguém já esteve em um All Inclusive na Bahia ou qualquer estado do Nordeste Brasileiro, certamente verá que o isleno precisa aprender muito. A comida é realmente péssima. Tem variedade, mas deixa demais a desejar em sabor e qualidade. Pecado maior está na limitação de horários para comer. Intervalos pequenos e eles passam uma corda no restaurante no horário exato para ninguém entrar. As bebidas ficam restritas aos dois bares em que tem pouca gente para atender. A cerveja sempre pouco gelada. Nada de vc se servir com cerveja. Self service, somente água natural. Pois o gelo tem que pegar a fila do bar. Decepção ainda como chuveiro que tem água quente em algumas horas do dia. Internet péssima. O atendimento no recepção é horroroso. Meninas de mal humor e que sequer te orientam sobre a localização do quarto, regras e senha de internet. Na chegada já fomos abordados literalmente na portaria por um segurança mal humorado que queria saber se tínhamos reserva e nos fez abrir mochila na porta do resort para mostrar a ele a reserva. Decepcionante.

The rooms are nothing special. The faucets don’t work well. The AC was leaking and dripping for 2 days, but no one fixed it after several requests. Food was your standard run of the mill buffet. The all inclusive bar was decent and unlimited. The pool was not bad and beach is across the sidewalk.
Check in was at 3 and the all inclusive doesn’t start until you check in, so they scam you and let you start early IF you pay extra.
Wifi was absolutely useless! So if you have business on the side you need to do, expect to not be able to do anything unless you have a Colombian SIM card and or data plan or something.
Incredibly slow!!! They also give you a password that partway through your stay may stop working, so you’ll have to phone them and get a new one.
Also, everyone else with me (5 people) had the issue where you’d connect to it and it would just randomly disconnect after 5-10 minutes and it would make you enter the login and password again.
Otherwise everything else was nice.

The good
Food service - Jesus manages this enormous task and has it dialed in. He was there day and night and when we made a small request of wine glasses and wine opener he personally delivered both to our room for us. This guy gets it and so do his people. The service in the dining area is excellent and the food is for the most part very good. Shout out to Maud and Kazir (may have messed up on his name ,sorry) who are both great servers with a sense of urgency. If the owners read this take our advice- promote Jesus your food service manager to run the entire hotel !!!
Pool and beach areas- are extremely nice and enjoyable. The hotel is situated on the best beach on the island with perfect sand and enjoyable swimming in warm clear waters.
The Bad
As if getting in and out of San Andres with 2-3 hour delays then poor airport service at checkin when leaving the island was not enough.....our hotel Isleño accommodations experience was more of the same.
Reception- after your long journey you have arrived but don't get your hopes up for rest just yet, check-in takes 20-25 minutes minimum. Good luck if your room is not available yet. For us a King Standard looked and seemed like right choice on the web until arrival - when we were put in a room furthest from beach and main buildings, on the ground floor that was like going to the "dungeon" - it was musty and moldy (mold was clearly visible around the AC unit). After short discussion we went right back to reception and had to make a stand ( seriously -we had to threaten to sleep in the lobby and ask for a manager to get a better room)-this went on for the next 20 minutes after we originally checked in. Finally it took my offer to pay for an upgrade to get them off the broken record of " we have no rooms" to a change of our accommodations. As you have read you realize that the hotel is not all bad and our experience showed us that the weakest part of the staff work at the front desk. When we checked in they were not very attentive to the line of people and seemed to hide in the back room rather than be out front to give better service. While making a stand I asked for a manager or supervisor but they never came out from the office to talk to us. The room they eventually gave us was on the third floor with a view and did not smell so we were happy with that but the facility issues in the hotel continued.
We had no hot water in our shower and even after multiple requests at the front desk and with other employees to get it resolved we went with cold showers for all four nights. Given the condition of the shower head and the fact we had hot water at the sink, my guess the control valve for shower was shot. The Shower head was extremely corroded and sent water sideways hitting the wall and going around the enclosure, this flooded the floor in the toilet area. The phone in the room did not work so it was not an option to call when we needed service we rather had to make multiple trips back to the incompetent front desk to inform the same people who would do nothing to resolve the issues. Like the hot water issue the phone was never fixed. When we went to close the curtains they were stuck and had to be forced along the track to get some privacy. Our room had the bar for the awning over the terrace but it was missing like many others on our building. We had our room cleaned once and got clean towels but the shower mats must be in short supply as it was never replaced.
Lastly the WIFI was the most ludicrous wifi experience of any hotel we have ever stayed in. The system required you to sign-in each and every time your device went to access it and it was very slow. Then after three nights of a four-day stay you apparently need a new password but we were so frustrated with it and all our trips to the front desk, we just gave up on it.
PS and FYI this is a Caribbean Island where you avoid ingesting the tap waters
