This unique hotel is housed in a round building which dates back to the 1800s and has an amazing story to tell. Originally built as a gas tank in which to store the gasoline used to light up the famous Boston lanterns, it has been remodelled several times throughout the past 2 centuries. Most notably in the 1920s it was used to make and store lighting fixtures and later in the 30s to exhibit motion pictures, after that it was closed and stood vacant for 60 years before being transformed into an amazing hotel. History is definitely not the only thing that this venue can offer, besides being near to Boston's premier shopping, world-class dining, spectacular museums and performing arts, it also offers award-winning services and amenities. “Very clean and well organzied The complimentary breakfast and the staff was very friendly to everyone and extremely accommodating I didn't like where it was located because when you look one way it is okay, but then you look the other way and you are then looking at the hood basically...when taking an uber one of the drivers even said that this part of the street is called meth mile ”

“A little noisy due to the proximity to Medical Center..sirens. Other than that very nice. No charge for parking. Great staff. Best free breakfast buffet. Just the ambulance sirens ..they do calm down late in the night.”
