The hotel has a great location if going to the theaters. The rooms, although smaller, are well appointed and very clean. The doorman and bell staff are friendly and efficient. I personally did not check in at the desk my companion did so I cannot rate them. However, they appeared to be very short staffed at the desk as it took 30 minutes to check in, a very long line. The hotel charges a destination fee of $30.00 and then give you a $30.00 food credit. Unfortunately, that does not cover even the most basic breakfast. The restaurant is too crowded and the staff, although, working hard, cannot keep up with the dining room. It takes way too long to be served and the food arrives luke warm and not very good. It is average at best. Additionally, they charge a 20% gratuity on top of the check. I, personally, am against an automatic gratuity unless its a large party. Be aware the hotel is very noisy from outside and service staff in the halls. Bring ear plugs. There are other choices to be had and hotels should not advertise one price only to add on other fees. It was documented on the actual website but it should simply be included in the price.

Stayed at the Martinique 12/2-12/5 and we enjoyed our stay immensely! The entire staff from housekeeping, the front desk, doormen and everyone in between were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is gorgeous inside and is a short walk from Penn Station, Macys and plenty of other attractions in the city. The bakery in the lobby served the most delicious sandwiches, muffins and coffee - grab a quick treat before heading out to explore. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Kudos to the entire staff for doing an amazing job in serving your guests well on such a busy weekend! We appreciate it and we will back to stay again.

Great classic hotel. Easy walk to Nomad restaurants, PennStation, Broadway and local subways. Beautifully maintained lobby and wonderful housekeeping staff. Yes there is a $30/day resort fee but it can be used at the coffee bar or restaurant and both were excellent. Nice gym. We picked a high floor and it was very quiet. Occasionally we saw a queue for check in, but you can also put the Hilton app on your phone and check in digitally. We had both physical keys and a digital key and both worked well.

My guest and I were extremely satisfied with our 3 day stay at the Martinique. It was in a great location , just a 15 minute walk from most of our destinations and right next to an entry way to a train. The rooms were clean and quite spacious , I did stay in a deluxe. The best service by far was the doorman. He was amazing and even walked to find me a taxi when I needed. People complain about the $33 dollar charge for breakfast but it was worth it. You could get more than enough breakfast for the charge. If you walk downstairs you avoid the charge for delivery. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Mediocre all the way. We upgraded to a king deluxe room and there was nothing deluxe about it. The room was average size so I can’t imagine what a regular king was like. The toilet paper was very cheap. There is a mandatory $30 f&b payment that’s use or lose. Cable TV, no apps. Worst of all, our room had one window that was covered in black plastic so we had no natural light at all.
