A comfortable hotel offering good value for money. The staff are very friendly too especially in the restaurant. Food is ok but not the best that I have had at a Melia property. The hotel is within easy walking distance to some very good restaurants. The bar was very quiet at night with no atmosphere.

Não gostei do quarto pois tinha escolhido um vista mar e encontro um vista cadeiras na esquina do hotel, via o mar ao longe . Bem reclamei mas nada.

This is NOT a five-star hotel. They must have gotten them a long time ago and still ride that wave. Sure, the rooms are spacious and the beds are really comfortable (despite them feeling superhard at first), but the reception and lounge area is not very welcoming, the overall floor plan of the hotel is just confusing, the breakfast is lacking some key elements to make it five star (although i have to admit, having sparkling wine at the buffet is quite awesome), and during covid, having one of the elevators not working for over a week is completely unacceptable when forcing guests to ride maximum two people. To even give me a scolding when I asked about it is also completely unacceptable. I would rate this a three star hotel, four at best.

No geral gostámos do hotel, os funcionários são atenciosos e as condições do quarto eram boas. Da ilha fiquei um pouco desiludida.

Dos melhores spas da região, dispondo de boas infraestruturas e qualidade/preço em conta. O staff é extremamente simpático. O ginásio é pequeno mas oferece máquinas e material que permite trabalhar todos os músculos e fazer todo o tipo de treinos.

El hotel está genial! Buen atendimiento, buena calidad en sus habitaciones, la comida bastante rica, van variando a lo largo de la semana con diferentes temáticas en el menú, piscina a pie de playa que goza de muy buenas vistas. Lugar ideal para hospedarte unos días y gozar de su tranquilidad. El único pero que le pongo es la animación. Fui con mi hija y esperaba que se moviera algo en este sentido y no tuvimos absolutamente nada que entretuviera o animará a nuestra pequeña. Así que si vas con niños mejor busca otro lugar.

Great service and great food at the restaurant. The cleaning ladies were great. They changed our towels and made our beds every day for a week. The bathroom didn't have proper air ventilation.

Me and my wife travel the world in the search for great hotels, this is a little Gem. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, you will feel welcome very quickly. Great food and perfect location for evening and afternoon strolls. Highly recommended.

Excelente serviço de hotel e simpatia de todo o pessoal, o melhor que tivemos até hoje, mesmo por comparação com outros hotéis 5 estrelas! Fomos em lua de mel e a estadia foi incrível, recheada de mimos por parte do hotel e do pessoal! Excelente também em termos de acomodações, com bares, restaurantes, happy hours, ginásio, piscina exterior e interior e spa, entre outros aspetos. Tem igualmente ótimo serviço de comida nos quartos, todas as comodidades esperadas num hotel 5 estrelas (minibar, secador de cabelo, produtos de higiene da Rituals, etc.), depósito para reciclagem nos quartos e, até, um pequeno congelador no frigorífico, juntamente com um pequeno espaço de cozinha e todos os acessórios necessários (loiça, talheres, mini placa com 2 bicos, panela, frigideira, lavatório e pequena bancada de cozinha, etc.). O hotel fica bem localizado, com transportes e táxis quase à porta, com possibilidade de caminhar até ao centro. Fica também de frente para o oceano e para o Lido, com pontões e espaços próprios para mandar uns mergulhos no oceano, ficando também não muito longe da praia formosa (praia com areia). Tem igualmente diversos restaurantes e outras comodidades nas proximidades, tais como farmácias, supermercados, lojas, gelataria, etc. Claramente a repetir e a voltar! Muito obrigado pela excelente experiência a todo o pessoal e, em particular, ao Martim, ao Rodrigo, ao Leandro, ao Artur e ao Marco!

Pessoal muito simpático e sempre pronto a ajudar no que for necessário. O hotel tem todas as comodidades. O quarto tinha vista para o mar e era muito espaçoso. A casa de banho era maravilhosa com produtos da marca Rituals (champo, condicionador, gel corpo e mãos, creme hidratante). O pequeno-almoço foi servido no deck exterior frente à piscina e ao mar, fantástico! Fomos em lua de mel e não podíamos ter escolhido melhor, tivemos tudo o que precisámos. Recomendo muito!

El hotel es bonito y amplio. Moderno y equipado. Con exposición de esculturas en sus salones. El personal de recepción,camareros y limpieza son eficientes y atentos. Las habitaciones y las camas cómodas. La zona de piscina en buenas condiciones. Algunas sugerencias de mejora: Cierta desorganización en el comedor (unos días más que otros) La variedad de la comida es mejorable. En los postres abundan los pasteles pero no hay helados (aunque nos los ofrecieron bajo demanda a cocina). La comida es muy buena sin embargo. En los lavabos comunes las papeleras son ridículas (supongo cambiadas por tener pedal en pandemia) El bar del hotel está desaprovechado y apenas se utiliza. Una lástima, pues tiene capacidad. En general nos ha gustado bastante el hotel, es bonito y muy recomendable. Aún así en un Melià de 5 estrellas se exige la mejora constante en los detalles.

Very disappointed with stay in this hotel as expected real 5 stars hotel.Sea view rooms (at least in which we stayed) above restaurant. If opened balcony doors, morning starts with cutlery sound from restaurant below (breakfast starts from 7:30) and very often smells from kitchen. And these rooms cost additional money.When grilling outside, exactly close to pool (restaurant) smoke comes up to the rooms.Bathroom as for 5 star hotel must be more clean. Rooms are old fashioned.Area at pool very small comparing size of hotel. Not managed to stay at pool as to find place mission impossible.Food - not good at all. Lack of fresh fruits in the morning, dinner - boring and tasteless.Staff at restaurant - if you decide not to take drinks at dinner became rude.Good thing - free parking for car in hotel.Comparing price, service - no value for money you pay.

Beautiful hotel, in prime location Staff friendly and attentive. Immaculately clean throughout. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. One tiny negative, would benefit if they had steps down to the promenade some of the other hotels do, as you have to go all the way round the hotel to get there. The walk back up the steep hill is a killer especially if you have mobility problems. Otherwise can't fault the Hotel.

A really well appointed, well kept hotel with indoor pool, spa and a great terrace and outdoor pool. The rooms are well thought out with a decent bathroom and all usual facilities. Breakfast is a wide ranging buffet. Highly recommended. Edit. I've removed a star after the one evening meal we had there was a disaster. One couple left after waiting an hour and although our food was prompt it wasn't good with over salted veg, bland plain rice, risotto over laden with parmesan and poor range of deserts.

Outstanding, this is the 5th time we have stayed here and it gets better every time. Paolo and his staff could not be more helpful. Uplands who cleaned our room was brilliant. If you are thinking of staying at Melia Madeira Mare don’t hesitate. My wife and I love it.

Really good views of the sea. This is the view from our room. Hotel is clean and has a modern friendly vibe about it. We had a superior sea view room which has a large decking private terrace with sun beds and a table with chairs. A huge bathroom with a separate shower and bath, two sinks and a partitioned off toilet with separate bidet. On Saturday night they even had free buffet and a dj. Nice little touches such as iced water in the reception, which makes you wonder why on earth they don't put free soft drinks in the fridge in the room? Instead they charge 4Eu for a small coke??!
