“Would not stay here again.
We had 2 rooms booked and had requested them being side by side. We were told this should be possible but not guaranteed. Despite the hotel not having many guests they were not able to offer us side by side rooms. When questioned about it upon check in staff weren't interested in checking to see if they could make this happen for us.
Housekeeping was by request, yet the day we requested it they didn't even bother to wash the glasses in the room.
A 21st at the hotel in the floor below us was loud and disrupted our sleep.
The fridge in the room had no shelf so we were unable to store drinks and snacks.
Discussed with reception upon check out and although given a small discount we were not offered an apology. It seemed like staff did not care.
Despite the great location, the staff at Rydges really let the hotel down.”

“I went to Auckland for the first time and just checked into Rydges hotel and my experience was giving it a 5 stars.
The breakfast was full of variety and was very delicious.
Rooms were very spacious and so was the bathroom.
Best part is that the hotel is very close to the sky tower and other interesting parts of the city, so if you are new to the city and want to explore new things this might be a good option.”
