I had a wonderful time here. This is a beautiful hotel with its own theme and charm. It’s located within walking distance to many tourist attractions in the Marina and Fisherman’s wharf area. They provide valet and bellhop service when you arrive. The room I was in is long and narrow but there was ample space for my stay. The room was delightfully quiet and we had a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge even though we were facing the western side. The Blue Mermaid restaurant is onsite as well as a Ben and Jerry’s. It was raining while there and the hotel provided an umbrella in our room in case we needed it. My husband and I appreciated the hospitality during our stay for our anniversary and look forward to coming back.

It was our third wedding anniversary - we were greeted by the front desk with a Happy 3rd Anniversary, and when we came back to our room, there was a bottle of wine and a lovely handwritten note. Big smiles, people happy to be there, to have a job and appreciated that people were returning to travel. The service in the hotel, by literally everyone, was outstanding. The rooms have a fun whimsical nautical theme. It houses a museum which is a lot of fun. There is free bike rentals for 2 hours which is a nice way to look along the water front. The rooms are clean, and you feel very safe. The location is wonderful - super close to a trolley stop, easy walking distance to museums, restaurants, and shopping. It even houses a wine tasting room that was fun. The restaurant has good food however like most tourist places, it's a little on the expensive side but they try to be very accommodating. Will definitely stay there again. Was a wonderful experience.

The location is everything. North Beach, Golden Gate, Pier, Alcatraz, chocolate shop, hop on bus (Hyde street) are all within walking distance. This is the place you can use as base camp to explore the city. We were tourists for a few days and felt very comfortable & safe(!) throughout the stay. Excellent hospitality. Thank you - and see you next time. P/S: bed and pillow are on the soft side but nothing too serious that will disrupt your sleep

I used to live 2 blocks away from this hotel and it's a great location for work and personal travelers- especially as an alternative from the typical, grittier neighborhoods folks stay like fisherman's wharf and mid market/downtown. Amazing views (i was in bayview king); very friendly staff; only had breakfast at their restaurant but it was very good. Value is incredible - very reasonable room rates. I will stay here again. thanks!

While it is a beautiful facility in the heart of Fishermans Wharf, it certainly had its downfalls. The restaurant staff of their expensive restaurant acted as though they were put out by me asking for some water to go with my breakfast, and how dare I ask for condiments. I went for my complementary coffee each morning and I was treated as though I was putting them out. The larger woman with dark hair who brought up our room service, was rude and acted irritated when I asked if they had a table to put our room service on. We were thrilled to have a bay view from our room facing Jefferson street, however if you have one of these rooms, be prepared to be kept awake by the street performers who use a speaker until 10 pm every night. When I voiced my complaints to the front desk staff, I was told they cannot do anything about it. Basically who cares and screw you. They generously took $100 off of our $2000 stay. Laughable to say the least. I won’t ever use this hotel and would suggest to anyone choosing to spend the money, to find another hotel.

Lindo hotel com temas náuticos, abriga um museu. Sua construção já foi armazém. Só não tem 5 estrelinhas pois as paredes e o teto da suíte deixam passar passos e vozes das suítes vizinhas. Não alugamos carro enquanto estivemos aqui, a localização é ótima e andar em San Francisco é muito gostoso, dá pra aproveitar muito mais. O hotel já está dentro do cartão postal!

Hotel smells like catfish! On my birthday I was laying in a sofa and the security told I couldnt sleep there while I was texting my family, then the front desk came and treated me like a homeless instead of asking my name ! Only because they wete talking loud between each other all night they couldn treat me like aperson, maybe they are not used to see a lady by herself! Such a bad experience on my birthday! Why they didnt ask for my name or my bf’s name for the beggining instead of making me feel like I was a homeless trying to sleep in the sofa? Crazy!!!!!!!!

Amazing location, easy to walk to some of the most popular destinations. Pier 39 is a few blocks away..Ghirardelli square is literally next door and a nice place to visit. Buena Vista..for the delicious Irish coffee.Room & hotel very clean. The lobby is very nice to sit and relax. Nice ambiance. Bed was comfortable. A little disappointed that our towels weren't change after a few days there. Garbages were also never emptied... I would have expected a little more.. Also the body wash and shampoos weren't that great in terms of quality.. also would have expected more when you pay so much for this highly rated hotel.The taxable $30 Guest Amenities Fee, per day,..its a bit ridiculous and bs to be quite honest. I knew about the fee but the guy who did the check in never mentioned it... I think it would have been a nice courtesy for him to say something because I don't think everyone reads the fine prints. Ultimately we have no say.Special thanks to Gustavo for the amazing customer service while checking out. Quite pleasant!

Location location location. If you wanna be in fisherman's wharf this is where you want to be. Nice sized room. Great view of the bridge and Bay. Great amenities. Great way to start our vacation.

Loved the themed decor, very clean, the staff very friendly, and location was perfect to visit Golden Gate Bridge (via E bike from Blazing Saddles), Pier 43 to take ferry to Alcatraz. We would definitely book hotel again! The Blue Mermaid restaurant attached had delicious food and we loved Mitchell’s Ice Cream around the corner.

Stayed 2 nights in August. Great location especially if you’ve got kids who need constant entertainment. Easy access to pier 39, Ghirardelli Square with all its restaurants and shops and the ferry service to Sausalito. Rooms are good, great views, staff super helpful and friendly! Would definitely stay here again.

We spent four nights in a Bay View Room. The location of the Argonaut Hotel cannot be beaten! Within walking distance to Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and Pier 39, as well as a cable car station. The decor was also very nice. And the bed was comfortable. The view, stretching from the Golden Gate Bridge to the left, to Alcatraz Island in the center, was wonderful! The room was quite dark, with only a small window. It was quite narrow as well. We would recommend a lighter decor throughout the room, especially the wall paper, to lighten the room and make better use of the limited daylight.

Hotel with a low cost! I was pleasantly delighted to find a space at a reasonable price. The staff is very pleasant, and the accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Fuimos a un evento corporativo y las instalaciones eran muy lindas. Fue en un salón luego del patio, y lo decoraron muy lindo, navideño pero sobrio. El salón tenía un baño unisex y era muy conveniente para los fumadores porque podían salir al patio y hacerlo a unos pasos.
