I was content with the look and position of the hotel (overlooking the river), then I was told that I have been upgraded to a suite which put me over the moon. The room was spacious with a fantastic view. The whole experience was a joy and would be a pleasure to return even if I don't end up in a suite

Our first time in Newcastle, this was for my 50th birthday my partner had book. Hotel was easy to find and great on site parking. On entering the hotel we were warmly greeted by the desk staff. We were checked in and in our room with in minutes. The room was very spacious and clean with a view of the Tyne river. We didn’t eat in the hotel as we were already booked into a restaurant. But we did have a fabulous breakfast the next morning. On checking out we had the parking to pay for, the check in staff had heard it was my birthday so very kindly gave us free parking which I though was a lovely touch from a caring hotel and staff. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend to family and friends.

The room was huge with a good sized desk and comfy bed the views of the Tyne were outstanding. Breakfast next day was delicious also. I have to say every single member of staff we spoke to were so friendly from Stephanie and Emily who arranged the afternoon tea baby shower, Abby who was on Reception, Sam and his team who were co ordinating everything and helping us out. The lady who was due to clean our room even asked if we needed assistance taking anything downstairs just everyone was really kind and helpful.

Vista fantástica da sala. Xícara de chá na chegada. A equipe lidou facilmente com o nosso grande grupo. As refeições noturnas estavam deliciosas. O café da manhã teria sido melhor com cogumelos. Também teria sido bom ter pãezinhos com o café da manhã continental.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were in Newcastle for our daughter's graduation. The staff were fantastic and very helpful / enthusiastic and a credit to the hotel. The breakfast service is a bit chaotic and is in too small a space for the amount of people eating at the same time. The juices and coffee at one end of the room were not good quality but we discovered there were better machines at the other end and near the main hot buffet.

Fantástica vista desde la habitación. Taza de té a la llegada. El personal se las arregló fácilmente con nuestro gran grupo. Las cenas eran deliciosas. El desayuno hubiera sido mejor con champiñones. También habría sido bueno tener panecillos con el desayuno de estilo continental.

wow, loved this hotel. Ladies on reception were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Room was amazing. Great view over the river. bed very comfy slept well. Covid-19 safe. coffee table, comfy chairs, lots of space. Breakfast was a very relaxed affair, self service with lots of choice. lady who showed me to my table was lovely. Thanks Copthorne for a memorable stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Guau, me encantó este hotel. Las señoras de la recepción fueron realmente amables y acogedoras. La habitación era increíble. Gran vista sobre el río. cama muy cómoda dormí bien. Covid-19 seguro. mesa de café, sillas cómodas, mucho espacio. El desayuno fue un asunto muy relajado, autoservicio con mucha variedad. La señora que me mostró mi mesa fue encantadora. Fantastic view from the room. Cup of tea on arrival. Staff easily coped with our large group. Evening meals were delicious. Breakfast would have been better with mushrooms.Also it would have been good to have bread rolls with the continental style breakfast.

Realizamos nosso casamento aqui em agosto de 2021. Um dia realmente bom. A suíte Cuthbert foi um bom ambiente para a cerimônia, refeição e discoteca à noite. As mesas foram decoradas exatamente como havíamos pedido. A comida era muito boa, quente e muito. A suíte em que ficamos era enorme, excelente vista do Rio Tyne e algumas de suas pontes.

O hotel tem uma localização maravilhosa, bem no cais, mas fica muito perto da ponte ferroviária, onde os trens passam a cada poucos minutos. Felizmente, eles param durante a noite. O quarto era muito confortável, mas curiosamente sem pontos de energia para um hotel moderno. Não fomos capazes de obter uma refeição à noite no hotel em nossa primeira noite, pois a área de jantar estava reservada para 2 grupos de ônibus, mas há muitos restaurantes a uma curta distância. Ser membro dos hotéis Millennium foi uma grande vantagem, pois o estacionamento era gratuito e, de outra forma, parece bastante caro.

The hotel has a wonderful location, right on the quayside but it is very close to the railway bridge where the trains rumble across every few minutes. Fortunately, they stop during the night. The room was very comfortable but curiously lacking in power points for a modern hotel. We were not able to get an evening meal at the hotel on our first night as the dining area was reserved for 2 coach parties but their are many restaurants within easy walking distance. Being a member of Millennium hotels was a big advantage as parking was free and it seems quite expensive otherwise.

Held our wedding here Aug 2021. Really good day. The Cuthbert Suite was a good setting for the ceremony, meal and evening disco. The tables were decorated just as we had asked. The food was really good, hot and loads of it. The suite we stayed in was huge, great view of the River Tyne and some of its bridges.

This was an excellent choice of hotel for us in an excellent location. Large, comfortable and quiet rooms - loved the pillows! Superb friendly and very helpful staff. Great on-site facilities (bar and restaurant). And pn-site parking, which was a huge bonus. Easy walking to many good bars, restaurants. historic Newcastle, and the newly refurbished Cathedral (which was stunning). And, best of all, great value! To be thoroughly recommended

Very good location. Good food, good portions and well cooked. Rooms very good size and very clean. Bit of a problem with the lift but was put right during our stay. All staff were very helpful, genuinely welcoming, polite and friendly. Would not hesitate to go back to this hotel. Restaurant staff could not have given better service. Thank you.

Great location. Lovely stay, great views of the river and bridges across the Tyne through floor to ceiling windows! We had a very spacious room with everything we needed. Very helpful polite staff. Booking again soon! 5* for a great price!

Brilliant location on the Quayside. Our room was large, clean and with a proper size fridge. We had a lovely view of the Tyne. All the staff we met were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good too. Would definitely come back again. Lovely hotel and welcoming staff. Thank you x
