“This hotel is a disgrace. The management could not provide adequate directions. The hallways smell of urine, and the carpets are stained. I asked them to allow me to pay cash; instead, they charged my credit card and refused to change it. The evening clerk knew I wanted to pay cash; he obviously lied when he said he told the day clerk. The day clerk was an absolute disaster job that did not care about anything other than look at her phone. She just typed away like I wasn't there. I asked her to ad my aids name to the portfolio to show he was a guest as well. She chose not to. This leads to safety concerns as you can't file a police report if someone robs you. I say this because they allowed a lot of very drink and very loud college kids to raise cane all night, keeping us awake. If you want a nicer, more respectful place to stay, the Hilton is right across the road and has better service. I would advise Noone to stay at Marriott Des Moines, Iowa. Marriott really needs to step up and take responsibility, as I hold them accountable for letting their front desk clerk for her actions. If you want to be treated rudely and lied to, The Marriott Des Moines, Iowa will not let you down.”
