“Beautiful Hotel, we felt like we were transported to the islands! Our Favorite Disney Hotel!”
— Sherry Lyon
“My boyfriend and I recently stayed a weekend at the Polynesian Village Resort. We chose Disney because it's a short trip from where we live and for the endless food and entertainment options nearby. Booking online through Disney’s Vacation Club was so simple! We were able to view availability on a calendar (which was helpful in choosing which weekend to book), all information regarding safety measures was clearly outlined, and they had several bundles for discounted tickets. Upon arriving I was impressed with how Disney has adjusted during the pandemic; they’ve made health and safety a high priority. Lots of signage for wearing masks and social distancing, even markers on the ground in the reception and transportation areas. While walking around the resort, EVERY employee greeted us with an “Aloha!” We took advantage of the discounted tickets offered for Florida residents, and wanted to add the park hopper to maximize our time. An employee in the main Vacation Club building was unsure if this was possible, but rather than providing us incorrect information, he politely asked us to wait until he could confirm with another employee. I appreciated him stepping away to check instead of just answering us to get us on our way. During our stay, the monorail was temporarily closed due to construction. This was not a huge inconvenience for us because the main ticket center (with access to the monorail) is within walking distance. Something that was an inconvenience was the condensed menus with limited vegetarian options. Overall, we had an amazing time and I would recommend staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend at a safe place with beyond friendly employees!”
