Currently under construction during my last visit, the Polynesian is a favorite resort of mine although I've never stayed here as I am a local. When visiting, a stop at Trader Sam's is a must although during this challenging time it is not open. On my most recent visit I used the mobile order for Captain Cook's. Very easy to order and the pickup system worked very well. Seating outside of the venue was ample but I can imagine it could get busy.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed a weekend at the Polynesian Village Resort. We chose Disney because it's a short trip from where we live and for the endless food and entertainment options nearby. Booking online through Disney’s Vacation Club was so simple! We were able to view availability on a calendar (which was helpful in choosing which weekend to book), all information regarding safety measures was clearly outlined, and they had several bundles for discounted tickets. Upon arriving I was impressed with how Disney has adjusted during the pandemic; they’ve made health and safety a high priority. Lots of signage for wearing masks and social distancing, even markers on the ground in the reception and transportation areas. While walking around the resort, EVERY employee greeted us with an “Aloha!” We took advantage of the discounted tickets offered for Florida residents, and wanted to add the park hopper to maximize our time. An employee in the main Vacation Club building was unsure if this was possible, but rather than providing us incorrect information, he politely asked us to wait until he could confirm with another employee. I appreciated him stepping away to check instead of just answering us to get us on our way. During our stay, the monorail was temporarily closed due to construction. This was not a huge inconvenience for us because the main ticket center (with access to the monorail) is within walking distance. Something that was an inconvenience was the condensed menus with limited vegetarian options. Overall, we had an amazing time and I would recommend staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend at a safe place with beyond friendly employees!

Most likely staying at one of the newer properties next go around. Traditionally our family was a Poly or nothing for DW hotel stays. But for the money, it seems like the resort needs an update - like it has not changed for years - especially the rooms need an upgrade. Still a great location with great family activities at the hotel.

I’ve stayed at several of the Disney resorts and this is one of my favorites. For starters it’s on the monorail line. This gives almost immediate access to the Magic kingdom and fast access to Epcot. When traveling back and forth between parks for night activities or cramming in MagicHours that monorail stop off the lobby makes it effortless. The staff were amazing and the restaurant fantastic. Our room was great and had a view of the lake. I had such a great time and my family did as well. This is a place I’ll stay at over and over again. Maybe one day I could even get an over water bungalow(people got to have dreams).

Beautiful resort at Disney! Great place with lots of options for transportation to the parks and other resorts! The cast members are always so helpful and friendly and the resorts are always impeccably kept. The service is top notch and we were left feeling valued and appreciated. We would highly recommend this place to couples. family, and groups traveling and staying in the area. Love it!

Beautiful resort with super friendly staff. I have actually stayed at quite a few Disney Resorts and this may be my new favorite. The first time we stayed here they were still building the lava pool and the hotel seemed overcrowded. This time however, the hotel doesn't feel crowded at all and the lava pool is fully open and functional. One nice thing is that the pools are heated, so even during the winter months it's usually nice enough to swim during the day and evening. The lighting here is some of the most beautiful I've seen at Disney. They have a mixture of tiki torches and traditional warm white lights. There's also a small children's water area. During the day and evening hours they have a fun activities for families kids and adults. Their high-end mid-level and Quick Service restaurants are all excellent. They have a campfire every day at 5 p.m. I just can't say enough great stuff about this awesome resort. Also it's conveniently located. You can take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

It's a very big but beautiful resort. I went as a guest with family and we enjoyed ourselves. We went to the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. The food was amazing and the show was a experience. I'd recommended visiting but, beware of the very low seats. Had to get a extra seat cushion to balance it out. Overall, I will be returning to experience more of what the resort has to offer.

We were here for the Luau. The performance was out of this world! The food was spectacular and the service was great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying on the park property. If you have little kids the late show is a bit much after being at the parks all day. All of my kids were asleep for the show.

Love the Polynesian Resort. It IS very pricey, but that is to be expected considering it is a top tier resort. The rooms are nice and keep with the Polynesian theme throughout, though you could get a similar room for much less off resort. The advantage to staying on property, of course, is the extra care and convenience. You have the monorail that runs through the resort and can be the fastest method of getting to Magic Kingdom. While you're there, make sure to try the Dole Whip. It's much more convenient than waiting while you're at the parks.
