“We paid $1,163 for two nights stay in Missoula, MT during a road trip last week. We pre-booked one night at the beginning of our trip and another for our return trip home (two separate rooms). For this area and for that money we expected a high-end room and experience. Both of the rooms we stayed in had maintenance and other issues. The rooms were clean but we feel we were misled in how much $ the stay was worth. We feel cheated in how much we were charged compared to the value we received. We stayed in other hotels and even rented a whole house in different parts of Montana (Red Lodge, Bozeman, Billings) on this trip for less $ per night that were far superior to this one in terms of value for the customer. We didn't have time to deal with reporting it to the hotel manager during the trip as we were there for one night each way and tired from driving and didn't want the additional hassles. The first room was supposed to be a river view room. However, we could not view the river since they put us in a room right next to the restaurant patio where people could see into our room if we had the curtains open. So, the curtains stayed closed and our money for the river view was unredeemable in value. Additionally, the first room was missing part of the ceiling (I have a picture) and the patio door was very difficult to open and close. My husband nearly threw out his back trying to close and lock the patio door the one time we tried to view the river from outside. We never tried, again, to use the patio because of this door issue. The 2nd room was a King suite. It was large and clean but there were maintenance issues here too. Also, the elevator to access the room has paneling peeling off & created a feeling of being in a sub-par property. The maintenance issues in the 2nd room was an installed carpet wrinkle across the middle of the room high enough to presented a trip hazard (not a rug but the carpet that is stapled to the floor) as well as an issue with the shower door where a ton of shower water was leaking all over the floor and creating an uncomfortable experience having to mop it up so that the toilet and sink were usable without mucking through a huge puddle. We were on the non river side which wouldn't be a huge issue except on that side of the hotel the train whistles that go on all night are very loud on that side. I feel like for $1100+ we should not have these kinds of issues. We feel like we were overcharged $500 for the product we received.”
