Royal Sonesta Kauai – Stayed here Sept 16-21.After reading so many poor reviews, I was very nervous about what to expect.What an amazing place!!!Upon checking in we were upgraded to a full ocean view room and were pleased to hear that we would be in a renovated unit and there was no construction happening in that building.The gym is open 24/7 and had plenty of machines, weights and dumbbells. Having the beach just outside was so great.The pool was amazing!!It’s open late, the water is comfortable and it’s huge.The grounds were so beautiful and the wildlife was a treat.Gotta love those roosters crowing at all hours, haha.We didn’t eat at any of the restaurants but were happy to have Duke’s nearby as well as a little plaza with some bars and restaurants.My only qualm is that we had to schedule housekeeping a day ahead of time, so we did.They never showed up the next day.I called the front desk and they couldn’t give me a reason as to why.I would stay here again, for sure.

Tanya e Amy foram incríveis no check-in e nos mudaram de um quarto king para um quarto duplo sem nenhum custo, já que éramos um grupo de três!Estávamos na área de construção e não percebi nenhum incômodo, mas nos ofereceram descontos por causa disso, o que foi ótimo.A localização é excelente para acessar os lados norte e sul da ilha, a praia era intocada e não estava lotada, e a propriedade tinha excelentes vistas para a montanha.

Tanya and Amy were awesome at check-in and switched us from a king to double room at no charge since we were a party of three! We were in the construction area and I didn't notice any disturbance yet we were offered discounts because of it which was great. The location is great for accessing the north and south sides of the island, the beach was pristine and not crowded, and the property had great mountain views.

CONSTRUCTION!This is an AMAZING and beautiful hotel that is currently undergoing “renovations”- sounded like a jack-hammer right over our heads.They compensated us a little but it didn’t fix the problem.We figured out ways to stay out of the room most of the day but it was still a bummer!

The construction was a killer! When I am paying close to 500 dollars a night I do not expect to be woken up by a jack hammer right above my head at 9am. Additionally, when paying that price I should be able to go back to my room to rest or relax at anytime. There was no mention of construction when booking the room and it was briefly mentioned when checking in, but the extent of the noise and disruption was not made clear. We were compensated slightly after expressing our disappointment, but I would not stay here while the construction is ongoing.However, the pool and the safety precautions with covid were wonderful!

Nós tivemos uma estadia inesquecível no Sonesta! Passamos uma semana no resort comemorando o 90º aniversário de nossa mãe. O quarto em que os pais ficaram estava perfeitamente equipado e atendia a todas as suas necessidades de acessibilidade. Além disso, a equipe foi tão gentil e profissional!Tivemos muitas refeições agradáveis no resort, curtimos a praia, um dia de cabana na piscina e agradáveis passeios pelos jardins imaculados.Eu realmente não tenho nada de negativo a dizer sobre nossas férias no Sonesta, exceto que havia uma construção acontecendo - que mal notamos e viajar durante uma pandemia veio com restrições que deveriam ser respeitadas em qualquer resort.Uma dica quente para outras pessoas de meia-idade que viajam com pais cuja idade combinada é quase 200 anos, certifique-se de que a mãe tome um Mai Tai diariamente :-)(As fotos são vistas reais do quarto dos pais, um passeio ao longo do caminho da praia e a mãe com uma daquelas delícias tropicais)

We had an amazing stay at Sonesta! We spent a week at the resort celebrating our mother's 90th birthday. The room that the parents stayed in was perfectly appointed and fit all of their accessibility needs. Plus, the staff was so kind and professional!We had many nice meals at the resort, enjoyed the beach, a cabana day at the pool and nice strolls around the immaculate grounds.I really don't have anything negative to say about our vacation at Sonesta except that there was construction happening - which we barely noticed and traveling during a pandemic came with restrictions that would have to be respected at any resort.One hot tip for other mid-lifers traveling with parents whose combined age is nearly 200 years, make sure mom has a Mai Tai daily :-)(Photos are actual view from the parents' room, a stroll along the beach path and mom with one of those tropical delights)

Tudo sobre este lugar é INCRÍVEL. A equipe e a qualidade do serviço são inigualáveis. Eles se esforçaram para ir acima e além por nós e tornaram o tempo aqui tão agradável e melhor que poderíamos ter esperado.O resort em si é absolutamente lindo. A área da piscina e o acesso à praia são deslumbrantes e magníficos. Cinco banheiras de hidromassagem privativas ao redor de uma piscina que por sua vez envolve uma ilha onde você pode relaxar. Palavras não podem fazer justiça. O resto do resort é tão magnífico quanto a piscina.

Everything about this place is AMAZING. The staff and the quality of service is second to none. They have gone out of their way to go above and beyond for us and made out time here so enjoyable and better that we could have hoped for. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The pool area and the beach access are stunning and magnificent. Five private hot tubs surrounding a pool that itself suurounda an island you can lay out on. Words cannot do it justice. The rest of the resort is just as magnificent as the pool.

Não se esqueça de usar ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ ao fazer a reserva. Este site irá comparar inúmeros sites de reservas e normalmente terá taxas muito mais baratas do que outros! Me agradeça mais tarde! Este resort é um dos melhores da área. Estou aqui há muito tempo. Se você ficar por algumas noites, não ficará desapontado.Hotel muito bom com uma bela praia e jardins! De longe, uma das melhores experiências de hotel que tive. Belo resort, ótima localização, locais amáveis e um serviço incrível. Há uma taxa obrigatória de US $ 25 por noite que eu não vi no momento da reserva, mas certamente posso ter perdido. No entanto, com os $ 25 vêm grandes vantagens. Recomendo para quem procura férias relaxantes.

By far one of the best hotel experiences I have had. Beautiful resort, great location, kind locals and incredible service. There is a mandatory fee of $25 a night which I didn’t see upon booking, but I certainly may have missed it. However, with the $25 comes great perks. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a stay. This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in this area. I've been staying here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be let down. Very nice hotel with beautiful beach and gardens ! Room is clean, very friendly staff!

Royal Sonesta is lovely.It is convenient to the airport, a short 5-10 minute ride but I didn't see or hear a plane through our visit.The property is sprawling and there is a lovely pool area.It is located right on a harbored beach as well.The room was very well appointed and larger with a pull out sofa.The mattress was fantastic and I slept great.I would return and I would recommend this resort.

Can’t get enough of the beautiful, sprawling gardens, loved my stay here. The sounds of the roosters early morning is so interesting and a wonderful experience. Will definitely come back. Staff was friendly, pool is nice and big. Property is very close to the airport and they have a complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport.
