“I booked at stay with The Omni Hotel at the Battery through Booking.com and as the order was processing, it timed out, which is not atypical for websites to do.However, when it refreshed, it set the date back to "today" without my noticing.As soon as I realized the error, maybe 2 minutes after the transaction processed, I contacted both the hotel and booking.com for a cancellation and refund.They both pointed at the other for approval but neither one ever cancelled the reservation nor did they refund my money.I am still trying to get answers but the Omni Hotel and the Battery has been unresponsive thus far (this happened on Sunday) and I am still being charged $400 for an empty hotel room.While it was a silly mistake on my part, I would hope that they understand that this can happen to anyone and for the sake of keeping future clients, do the right thing and refund the money to me or even apply it to a future stay.”
