Penha Longa is an elegant palazzo-style estate situated among the rolling hills of the Sintra Cascais Nature Reserve. The 5-star resort features a 27-hole golf course and a state-of-the-art 1500m² spa centre. The resort's LAB restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in November of 2016. The Eneko Lisboa restaurant by chef Eneko Atxa who currently holds 5 Michelin stars brings fine dining options with local nuances while the Basque restaurant aims to recreate the typical Basque tavern cuisine. The Penha Longa Mercatto italian restaurant is also the site of the daily breakfast buffet with scenic views over the Sintra mountains. The resort's golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and is in the top 30 in Continental Europe. The hotel has many recreation facilities including indoor and outdoor pools both tennis and squash courts horse riding fitness centre and a spa with treatments and an exclusive garden. A children’s playground mini golf course and Kids' Club are also featured. Penha Longa is in a prime location for hiking and cycling excursions. The resort is a 25-minute drive from the Lisbon International Airport.
