We had a wonderful time! Friendly staff. If we needed anything, they helped us or got it for us. Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are nice & spacious(we had the swim out, 💗 it!!). The ocean & beach was beautiful & they work hard to keep it clean of seaweed. The restaurants where good (our favorite was the Miso Thai). There is room for improvement. We loved the egg station in the morning for the buffet (in the main lobby) but everything else always seemed to be the same items for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The grounds are really big & they do need to have 2 carts running at the same time to bring people around the resort. I know some folks told us they can't walk that far in the heat & humidity. All in all, we had a great time & can't wait to come back!!

It Is poor quality ,bland , and very processed. I got food poisoning on the second day there. I will not back to this resort due the the food Quality

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon— absolutely horrible. The food was AWFUL. The beaches were disgusting. The “romance package” that included “chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne” literally meant TWO chocolate covered strawberries. One for each of us. Wow. How kind. The only good thing about this place was that we booked the Platinum package and had our own bartender to fill us with drinks until we were able to leave. Do not go here. Read the reviews, don’t be like me and just look at the pictures. Talk about being catfished. Thousands of dollars absolutely wasted.

I was trying to plan my wedding there, But Emma was so rude and wouldn't communicate with us or call us, instead went through emails which weren't replied to in a timely fashion. And the non refundable deposit is a JOKE. So we took our business else where. Paradisus is where we will be having our wedding next year. Glad I read these reviews, and see I'm not the only one having problems with their wedding manager Emma. If you want to have a easy weddding and great communication go with Paradisus. The have a great selection of wedding packages and a 100% refundable deposit. Thanks Everyone for all your reviews and glad I'm not the only one who thinks Emma shouldn't be in a management position.

The resort seems very nice at first, but my wife and I both got food poisoning from their buffet, vomiting and diarrhea for a full day. We didn't eat off-resort all day, so it was certainly the buffet. At the buffet, they give you a table and it takes upwards of 30 minutes for a waiter to bring you a drink. (You can't get your own drinks at the buffet).

El hotel me encantó, sólo hay que tener mucho cuidado con los coatís que se llevan las bolsas y todo lo que tenga olor a comida. Es una población numerosa. A pesar de la la baja ocupación, un poco de música en las piscinas grandes hubiese estado genial. El servicio, la comida, las instalaciones, maravillosos!

Ahhh, wow what a beautiful resort to unwind and relax. We stayed a week and this was just what my wife and I needed. It was a amazing resort and the pool was stellar. Warm and so relaxing! The first day the beach was full of coral and unappealing however we had a storm come through that clear it all out and on our last night we were able to get in the water and enjoy it. The good was good and what a surprise on the last night they had one of my all time faves of oxtails and rice. Lol, the perfect ending to an amazing getaway for us!The drinks were good and flowing and the entertainment was pretty good too every night.The rooms were nice however I'd suggest taking a candle to create a pleasant smell as it is a little older resort, just my preference, especially for an extended stay. We definitely will go back and probably take the kids next time!

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a resort. This web site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely will love it I'm sure! Really a beautiful resort...... so many different options to eat, plenty of swimming and the ocean..... wow! The staff have all been so friendly and welcoming

Estivemos em um grupo de casais...a estrutura do hotel é fantástica, piscinas restaurantes, quartos etc. Só não tem como dizer que é perfeito devido ao check-in: alguns de nosso grupo tiveram problemas (entregue chaves pra quarto ocupado, malas demoraram quase duas horas pra chegar ao quarto, precisavam de "papel impresso" da reserva para confirmar o check-in etc)....Para um hotel desse nível isso precisa ser melhorado.

Lugar maravilhoso. Mas check in um lixo, irritante, pessoas mal educadas. Tem excelência no restaurante oriental, aqui na reserva pedir para sentar a mesa que tem o preparo com o chef, espetacular. O restaurante Chillout também excelência no atendimento. O Sport bar lugar agradabilíssimo. Kids Club impecável com o niños. Na saída cuidado com o segurança que libera. Mal educado, grosso, escroto e violento. Tirando o check in e essa segurança que pega o papel da liberação, lugar bacana.

This year was our 9th time visiting the sunset princess resort. It was a little different this year because the occupancy level was so low. However, there was nothing wavering in their customer service and desire to please all of their guests. My wife and I stay in the private villas and this year we were the only ones in the villas. We still had a concierge, server, and bartender. They served us as if there were a 100 people in that private area. This place is horrible. Do not go , i repeat do not go. Much better resorts. The food is microwaved. The drinks are sugary. The rooms outdated. It is basic and not worth the money stay away!

4+ resort overall. We went there on Dec 2017. Will go again. 1. Good stuff: All staff are friendly and always smiling. Many inside swimming pools with crystal clear water. If your room is on the first floor, you can jump into the pool from your bed :) Food are delicious and there are many selections. Unfriendly for those who are in diet :) Very nice environment. The resort is huge with various plants everywhere. It is more like a park. 2. Things to be improved: The beach was not good. Dirty water with sea grasses; small stones hurt your feet very much when trying to go into the water. Second, the room was clean but bed stuff could be cleaner. The tv was outdated and not always working. The tv in my room worked at the first date when we arrived; but next evening when we came back from Chichen Itza, it didn’t work at all. No one knew what was going on. 3. Advice to travellers: Always book the COMBO Packages for your trips if you plan to visit multiple places, it’ll save you a lot of money. And the price you are offered in the resort is much more expensive than you are offered on the flight.

This was my very first trip outside of Canada and it set the bar extremely high for any other trips to come in the future.Food was excellent at all the various places you could visit or get on the grounds of the resort. Never left disappointed.Entertainment throughout was always fun and engaging for everyone involved.Pools and beach were taken care of and full of activities throughout the day and night. Volleyball was by far the most entertaining and engaging throughout the day at the beach.Rooms were clean, spacious, and were overall a great experience.Employees were exceptional - ensuring every guest knew they were cared for and that you were happy with your stay and whatever it was they were providing for you was done professionally.I would absolutely recommend Grand Sunset Princess for anyone; new travelers, experienced travelers, and anyone in between. Every day was entertaining and memorable.

This is such a beautiful resort. Easily one of the best I've stayed in. There were a couple things that I didn't think were quite as good as some of the others, including a limited number of stores, a small pharmacy selection, and only average food. However! The staff were incredible. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and most importantly to me was honest. If you left money sitting out, even if for a tip, they wouldn't take it unless they were told it was for them. I have never seen a staff trained so well. The other thing about this resort is it is huge and beautiful! The pathways are stunning, the pools are clean and vibrant, and the beach was well cared for as well. On the beach there are free non-motorized water sports equipment which we used almost everyday. All around you can also make furry or scaled friends, there are cats and iguanas and raccoons everywhere- and they are adorable! There is also a monkey family that lives on the bridge that leads out to the beach. I loved the environment of this resort and usually resort hop to try them all but I will absolutely return here. I cannot wait for the next trip!
