“In terms of resort environment and room amenities it's very good. However, if you try to call the operators requesting any services from your room, all the operators i encountered cannot understand basic English and they might put you on hold indefinitely. Otherwise, most staffs on the reception floor are very helpful. The food here is excellent but expect long waiting time between order and delivery.”

“This is the worst hotel accommodation experience that I have ever had. I booked a four-day, three-night stay with JW Marriott in Sanya . This is our usual way of traveling for relaxing. On March 31st, we checked in. Our booking included bed and breakfast, but the information was just for accommodation. Fortunately, we brought the order. I don't know if this is a problem with the Booking website, or the problem with JW Marriott. On April 1st, about 7:30 the next morning, we took a pleasant mood and walked to see the scenery. There were not many people. In the garden of the front gate, I picked up the camera and took pictures for my wife. Suddenly, a security guard came to us, and forbad us to take pictures. I asked him what happened. He said that my camera was too professional (just a Sony SLR +18/200 travel lens), and said that there were many hotels opened nearby. In order to prevent the design been plagiarized, I was required to sign a document must not put photos on the web, and forced us to the hall. When we arrived at the lobby, waited at the counter. The staff asked us what happened. We told her the situation. The staff said that my camera was professional need to sign a paper. I was truly mad. Finally came a hotel public relations officer, Miss Crystal. "Are you a photographer?" she asked at the first time. I indicated that I'm not, and presented that I and my wife have traveled the world for decades. This weird situation has never happened. Although Crystal's attitude was tender, she repeated the words of the security guard, and we still had to sign the room number to let us leave. This is the worst hotel accommodation experience we have ever had. This is not just a question of hygiene. This is a mentality problem that treats guests as thieves! We usually travel at home or abroad for vacation and business. Staying or holding meetings at hotels or resorts. There has never been such a thing, regardless of the hotels in Taiwan, hotels in Bali, hotels in Japan, hotels in Las Vegas, hotels in Macau, palace hotels in Turkey, and of course Hilton, Sheraton,Westin, and Marriott. This is definitely a question of management. Does JW Marriott of Sanya not followed the business culture of the Marriott Group, or is it a strange management behavior made by looking down on the Chinese market? In addition, the tableware for breakfast is placed directly on the table and does not on a placemat. I indicated to the service personnel that there was a health problem because they used a rag and detergent to clean the table. The service staff said they used water. But even they used water, they wiped many tables with one rag! The staff told me that they don't use placemat for breakfast but will for dinner. This is the strangest hotel I have ever stayed at, and it is JW Marriott Hotel ! 這是我們有生以來最糟糕的旅館住宿經驗; 我與太太兩人在三亞的J W萬豪訂了四天三夜的住宿,目的就是為了輕鬆的定點休息,這是我們一貫的旅遊方式。 3月31日, 我們 check in時就有個小插曲,我們訂的是住宿加早餐,但資料只是住宿, 餐點要另加, 還好我們帶了訂單資料。不知道這是Booking網站的問題,還是jw萬豪的問題。 4月1日, 第二天 早上7:30我們帶著愉快的心情,散步看風景, 人不多; 在大門前花園,我拿起的相機替我太太拍照;突然,一位保全人員走到我們前面禁止我們拍照,問其原因,他說我的相機太專業了(只不過是Sony單反+18/200的旅遊鏡), 又說最近附近的旅館開了很多,為了防止設計抄襲, 要我簽切結書不得將照片放在網路上。 強迫將我們帶到大廳。 到了大廳要我們在櫃台等一下,櫃檯人員問我們什麼事,我們告訴其原因, 櫃台人員說我們的相機太專業是不是攝影師,要簽一個簽單。 最後來了一位旅店公關Miss Crystal , 劈頭就問:「你是不是攝影師」, 我表明不是,我是來度假的房客, 並表明我跟我太太 兩個人 二、三十年來走遍世界各地從來沒有發生過這個奇怪的現象; Crystal雖然客氣的重復了保全的說詞,但還是要我們報了房號簽了簽單才讓我們離開。 這真是我們有生以來最糟糕的旅館住宿經驗。這不只是衛生打掃的問題, 這是把客人當作小偷來看待的心態問題!我們在國內、國外旅遊或是開會住過許多飯店及resorts,峇里島的酒店,Las Vegas的酒店,澳門的酒店,土耳其的皇宮酒店,當然也包括Marriott旗下的希爾頓、喜來登、威斯汀、萬豪,哪一間設計會比這間差, 從來沒有發生過這種事情, 這絕對是管理階層的問題,是三亞的JW萬豪沒有執Marriott集團的企業文化,還是因為看低中國巿場而做出的奇怪管理行為? 另外, 早餐的餐具就直接放在桌子上也不墊個餐巾, 向服務人員表示這樣有衛生健康的問題, 因為他們用抹布及清潔劑清理桌面, 但是服務人員說他們用的是水, 但即便用的是水也用抹布擦了好幾張桌子啊! 向他們反應,他們說早餐不墊晚餐才會墊。 這是我住過最奇怪的酒店,而且還是JW萬豪酒店!”
