“It could be a 4 stars hotel. Hotel is located in front of the beach so you get to watch beautiful views every day. Friendly welcoming staff. Two pools. All inclusive resort. Beer is not President but it's good. Restaurant by reservation. Open buffet for all meals. Breakfast is very good and offers a good variety. Lunch and dinner are ok. They have also a snack bar were you can get hamburgers, hot dogs, french 🍟, sausages and some other cool stuff between meals. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable. I have to say something about the animation. They have the most cool staff of young people as part of the animation offered. They teach you volleyball and play with you in the pool. They da a friendly zumba session every afternoon. And a lot more activities. Jeffrey, Jairo, Amara, Eunice, and all of them are doing such an amazing job. Anabel (the coffee lady) is the best in customer service. The bedroom key system is electronic and the card get deactivated every other day. They need to find a way to keep the flies out of the fruit buffet. Those two things are the reason why I didn't rate it as a 5 stars review on Google. It could be better with little effort and jump to a better tourist destination hotel rating.”

Food was ok. Rooms are bad. White, not really clean and with ants. In the night loud. Every day at 8.30 p.m. is a party. So no sleep. Beach is also ok. Beautiful water but many dogs, if you’re afraid. Think is a Dominican hotel and not really for tourists.

I stayed there 10/25-28/21 and it was my worst stay in my 3 visits. The food was horrible, my refrigerator didn't work and I couldn't get a change of towels when requested - the excursion is a rip off- you don't get what they tell you. We were told of 4 different stops on the excursion and only got three. One of the stops was a stinky 1/3 of a beach area with nothing on it but trash, rocks and wooded area. We weren't taken to the village for shopping as promised. I paid $110 for a friend who possibly couldn't make it. They said I would get reimbursed the $110 if she couldn't make it. It's been 4 days and no refund. I have reached out several times after speaking with the excursion manager who promised I would get the refund. The excursion salesperson name is Victor. He has a desk in the hotel check in area. You have been forewarned

El personal es muy amable, lás instalaciones están cuidadas. La comida para mí fue terrible, dígase desayunos, comidas y cenas. Poca variedad y todo de poca calidad. La habitación no cuenta prácticamente con nada de minibar, solo agua y no las reponen, ni productos de cuidado personal como los demás hoteles. Tampoco incluyen toallas para las piscinas, se debe pagar un depósito de usd 20 para que entreguen una. Para el precio, es hora de mejorar.

Vamos nos adaptar. Vou adicionar mais tarde. Complementando, porque já terminamos nossas férias. Eu esperava um serviço mais civilizado. Toda a equipe não fala russo ou inglês. Quem tem experiência vai entender que a recepção não fala inglês, isso é o fim do resto. Por 12 dias, trocamos nossas toalhas 3 vezes, três! Ar condicionado na sala sem controle remoto e na recepção não entendia que estávamos pedindo para aumentar a temperatura. A sala de jantar não foi projetada para o número total de residentes. A praia também é pequena e acomoda 10% dos hóspedes. Louco barulhento, se você estiver com crianças, peça um caso tranquilo imediatamente. Wi-Fi apenas na área da recepção. Vou deixar 5 estrelas, todas as mesmas pessoas estão tentando e minha esperança pelo resultado deles não morreu.

Resort Staff at Front Desk 5 Star, Hotel itself out dated. Buffet Food was mostly Local favorites but under seasoned for European clients. Anderson is the Luggage Handler who know what 5 star treatment is as well as Ernesto ans Noel Front desk Staff, they all deserve a position at any Luxury Resort. Thanks to them my stay was worth it.

The hotel rooms are amazing love them. But I checked out the same night because I didn't like the environment at all. Felt unsafe. But if you know Spanish I think you will be fine.

Very nice hotel, right in front of the beach. Gets crowded during weekends probably. I liked it more on Monday that the crowds had left. It's an all inclusive hotel. All meals are rich and delicious. There are constructions nearby tho and our room was very noisy. Also the building is a bit old, but everything in the room worked fine for us.

Currently at this resort extreme deception. I booked this getaway for my husband and I. Getting to the resort a bit cringing due to the location it’s in. The rooms are old. I had to move rooms because of the construction and the sheet rock dust was just too much. Phones are not working. The room was moldy and smelled not pleasant. We couldn’t stay. They moved us to a different room same thing mold.no towelettes, one night they did not provide a bed sheets; phone was not working either, the refrigerator was not working properly . The Ceiling fan sounds as if they were struggling thought it would of fall down or something. Some staff were excellent really hard workers. The receptionist a bit arrogant and just not to our exception. I honestly was reading people’s reviews and truly I had to come and check and honestly a big disappointment. If you can get a better place for your money go for it. This place is not to its truth:pictures are not what it actually is. Please watch out for the locals money and sneakers were stolen from a couple from another country. Policemen did arrive assess but nothing was recovered. A huge disappointment I do not recommend this resort it’s disorganized and designated for the locals to enjoy themselves with their families.

Este hotel y el hotel Don Juan de boca chica están unificados. Sin embargo necesitan muchas mejoras en el sistema de aires, en la atención al cliente y no hay salvavidas en el área de piscina, las piscinas de los niños no están divididas de la de los más grandes. Lo único que nos gustó fuè la oferta gastronómica.

My rating is the lowest for the following reasons: This hotel is sold for being a 4 star and in reality it does not reach one, when you arrive at the hotel you realize that it is not as it appears in the photos. The rooms are in very poor condition, the air conditioners do not work, the dense bathtubs, the toilet bowls do not drain well, and the waterproofing for the air conditioning is terrible, some lamps do not have light bulbs, and some bathrooms do not have mirrors, there are many rooms that do not have a ceiling fan and the air does not cool. On the other hand, the lobby does not have a single fan and the heat is suffocating while you are in the lobby, there is no pool table that comes in the photos, there are no tablecloths in the restaurant or good organization, there is no good hygiene in Tables, you order something to drink and it arrives when you have finished eating, and the food is not very stale, the hotel's animation is not good. The hotel lacks good lighting in public spaces such as the theater and sidewalks, there are no elevators, the most beautiful parts that they put on the website are not part of the hotel or fully included, in short I do not recommend this hotel and for us It was a big rip off to have booked it.

HorrÍvel!!!! canceliei minha reserva hoje e vim para minha casa. nÃo sai para passar trabalhos em sala sem "Água" nem bom ar condicionado. pobre atendimento, sem estacionamento suficiente ou com valet para transfer para outro parqueamento muito removido do hotel, sem transporte .... horrÍvel, "nÃo deve abrir". sala de jantar muito suja, muitas moscas, demasiado cheio, sem distÂncia .... nÃo vai nÃo funciona !!!!

Horrible!!!! cancelÉ hoy mismo mi reserva y me vine a mi casa. no salÍ a pasar trabajo en una habitaciÓn sin "agua" ni tampoco un buen aire acondicionado. mal servicio al cliente, sin parqueos suficiente ni valet parking para traslado a otro parqueo muy retirado del hotel, sin transporte.... horrible, " no debiÓ abrir". el Área del comedor muy sucia, muchas moscas, demasiado lleno, no distanciamiento.... no vayan que no sirve!!!!

Somente a vista do mar valeu a pena. Só isso! A alimentação não é ruim, embora bastante simples; o quarto é grande, mas a manutenção é precária e os móveis são antigos. O que é horrível: 1. ralo do chuveiro entupido; 2. O calor dentro do quarto faz o suor escorrer pelo corpo. Absurdo desrespeito a quem paga tão caro. Se você deseja muito hospedar-se num all inclusive, recomendo que invista 20 dólares mais e fique num resort de boa qualidade. Ou você pode optar pelo conforto de um 4 estrelas, com bom pequeno almoço (café da manhã). Nesta última opção, você evitará indispor-se com o mal funcionamento de um hotel ruim, e busca um bom restaurante no jantar (já que um pequeno almoço de boa qualidade pode fazer economizar no almoço). Ter sossego e conforto é fundamental!

La PEOR experiencia que se puede tener de un hotel. Servicio en gral PESIMO, la comida HORRIBLE poca variedad, me tocaron 2 habitaciones 1 con el aire dañado y la otra le funcionaba pero hacia una buya tan terrible que no se podía tener encendido y aparte sin agua en el baño, en la recepción no te cogen la llamada y cuando vas a reclamar te mienten y no te hacen caso, solo te ponen 2 botellitas de agua por todo el fin de semana que debes rellenar en los bebederos para no morir de sed. Doy una estrellas porque no me permite ponerle 0 ABUSADORES. Piensenlo bien antes de caer en ese gancho.

Pésimo, esa reapertura del 1 de julio del 2021 fue un desastre, aire dañado, habitaciones en mal estado, baño con ducha tapada, televisión dañada, una falta de respeto a un ser humano. 5 horas en el lobbie para registrarte. Piscina sucia.

Tremendo disparate de hotel, para empezar a describir mi mala experiencia.Llegue este viernes 2 de julio 2021 al medio día para registrarme,había una desorganizado que los pobres empleados estaban hasta el cuello de trabajo, no hay ni un abanico en el área del lobby todos los clientes sudado, bueno me pongo hacer la fila, me entregaron la habitación a las 6pm, fui directo a cenar y la poca variedad de comida por lo menos estaba buena, pido refresco y saben a agua, las cerveza calientes,opte porbeber agua, vine a la habitación y es muy confortable.Voy al área del bar y no pude beber nada porque no se sabe ni de donde sacan esas bebida, no la conozco ninguna, subí a la habitación para ponerme a ver tv cuando decido bañarme a las 1 de la mañana me llevo la sorpresa que no hay agua y llamo a la recepción y me dicen que tumban el sistema de agua, esto es inaudito primera vez qué veo eso en un resort.Si algún gerente de esa empresa quiere contactarme puede hacerlo.

This is the type of resort you go to when you’ve never been to a resort before, never in your life, so you don’t know what a resort should be like. Those are the people who will be happy with the low class atmosphere. Positives.... entertainment puts on a good show The staff, like all Dominicans, are amazing people who work too hard for too little. Tip them well!!! Negatives... If you’re a local of Puerto Plata, Boca Chica has the same reputation as Sosua, enough said. 🙄 Pool was dirty, not that it mattered as we had to put a $20 down payment for beach towels , 2 towels$40, but they had no towels when we went so we’ll return our tickets to hopefully get back our $40 US. The 1 bedroom suite reminds me of my first apartment I had in Ontario in 1998 when I had to rent as cheap as I could possibly find to start out in life. Rooms had no towels, no soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion... again if you’ve never been to a decent resort, you won’t know the difference but this is usually supplied at hotels and resorts for you. We finally got shampoo and 2 towels. When you get towels, which took us 5 hours, you get 1 per person, use them wisely. There is 2 small bottles of water in the mini bar fridge which is all we are getting for 2 days. There’s limited hot water so shower at intervals. Like one in the morning and one at night or just do what I did, take the cold and let your partner have the hot water. I live in Puerto Plata so on weekends, we do road trips to different cities. Unfortunately, I think this was my first and last time to Boca Chica. It’s just not for me. If you decide to go, again if you’ve never stayed in a good resort or hotel then your expectations might be ok. If you travel a lot and prefer hotels and resorts like Lifestyle, embassy suites, Marriott, Hilton, or Grand Bahia Principe, please know, you WILL be disappointed.

Terrible hotel. I tbe middle of the pandemic, when people with reservations need i formation, this hotel doesn't answer ema or phone a d has no statement on its website describing its status (open or closed) during the epidemic. Not a hotel I would ever spend my money on - simply uncaring with zero level of service to people with reservations.

Excellent food, very clean rooms. Great beach right in front of the hotel (even tho it is not that private, people can walk through the hotel's beach). The animation team was amazing and prepared very fun activities (zumba and games). The only thing I didn't like was the parking personnel (the old dude). He was very rude to us and even engaged in a verbal altercation with one of my girlfriends.

We spent our holidays in Boca Chica in October 2019 at the hotel WhalaBocaChica. It was an unforgettable experience. Many thanks to all the staff. There was a friendly atmosphere, the ability to communicate in several languages, the responsibility, and professionalism of the staff. We had a wonderful room with a view of the Caribbean Sea, the white sand beach, turquoise bay. The sand is always cool, and the water is always warm. Chef cooked something new every day and it was always incredibly tasty. Special thanks to concierge Alfie. On the way to the airport, we forgot the phone in a taxi. Alfia found both a taxi driver and a telephone. A taxi driver brought us a phone to the airport. Only pleasant impressions about the rest, the hotel and all the people we met there. Highly recommend. Ive been here multiple times, it used to be my go to place for vacations. Brought some friends there for their anniversary and was super disappointed to find that they moved the pool table to a sports area, where you now have to pay to use it. The ping pong table was deserted. And there isn't a whole lot going on in this resort when it comes to entertainment both day and night. So I was super disappointed in this change. There are other places I'd now prefer to spend my money for vacation.

We had a good time at this resort! The staff are awesome! The food was vary good! The room and cleanliness was vary good! The hotel manager was an excellent lady, she was fantastic! Beer was on the low end, other guest were rude (Russian) I feel bad for the staff!

One room in building 6 was terrible. The AC was too noisy it woke me up every time until I turned it off. The good this I was able to move to a nicer room in building 4. TVs inside the room are tiny, like 16” or something. The food was okay, not much different from day to day. There is not much to do on the campus: table tennis net was broken and disappeared completely. There are no tennis courts ( google Maps shows then though). The resort is located not far from a real ghetto - it’s scary to go on streets even during daylight. One criminal tried to steal my friends girlfriend gold necklace right from her neck but was not successful. Also you might get diarrhea from the food - it happens here often. The entertainment they offer is just kids dancing after 21:30.
