Puerto Montt is a fast growing city in the south of [wiki=2e6507f70a9cc26fb50f5fd82a83c7ef]Chile[/wiki], just north of [wiki=1834d05ddf265c2396ec0be4997fa98d]Chiloé Island[/wiki]. It boasts great views of the ocean and towering peaks of the andes, and is a centre for travellers heading further south along the [wiki=e8d8ec9e92ca706a8d6791fbdd59639e]Carretera Austral[/wiki], or east to Argentina.
