“Old, worn out hotel. Cleaning is poor. Cups in room still dirty after last guest. No paper cups. Probably clean ceramic mugs with same rag they use to clean toilets — if they cleaned the toilets! We were very disappointed. Stayed at Hampton last time and it was good. The hotel looks fine from outside and in lobby, and in great area, but my guess is they’ve never updated the old rooms. IMO operators are just reaping profits and not keeping the property up to Hyatt standards: reinvesting in their pockets vs. the product. The rooms are also filthy despite their claims of their “Cleanliness Commitment”. Unlike any other Hyatt we’ve stayed at. To top it all, the mattress was so old and lumpy it was not comfortable to sleep: like a continental divide going down the middle of the bed sloping to either side and super soft and weird: like they were trying to cover up the worm out mattress with some gushy topper that made it worse.”

“My wife and I had the best experience at the Hyatt Place/Mesa. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was outstanding. My wife and I were traveling to Phoenix for my back surgery. We had never been to Arizona before. When the staff saw that I had back surgery after returning to the hotel, they were extra accommodating and made sure that they checked in with my wife everyday for the week that we stayed. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was great!”
