“I stayed in Hotel Clarion from 2nd tylko 8th January 2022. The stay overall was satisfactory, breakfasts were good, although an unpleasant surprise awaited us in the end. The whole stay was supooused to cost 674,40 EUR, that was a fixed price on booking. When it came to paying though, it turned out, that the hotel uses it's own sort of exchange rates and for this reason the charged us 730 EUR. Doesn't seem like a great difference, but iritates and creates an impression of lack of professionalism. So my advice is - should you visit them - pay straightaway, cause if you won't, they'll charge you additionally with strange, Czech conversion rates. And the laugh's on me, cause I payed in CZK (because I have an account in this currency), and they would still use their strange EUR - CZK conversion). So overall, the offer which I resevered on booking differed to what I got in Spindleruv Mlyn. What's important is that they do not inform about their strange conversion rates in the moment of conducting cotract (on booking.com), but when it comes to paying.
Details matter Clarion Hotel, especially if you aspire to a "luxurious" standard.”

“A very serviceable option. Breakfast was extensive but quality average. It was nice that the pancakes were cooked fresh. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. The rooms and decor was pretty basic and dated - not that that matters too much on a ski holiday. Very family orientated which wasn't great for us as a couple. The wellness suite was okay but facilities were average and there wasn't much too it. Also there was little privacy here. Personally wouldn't spend the money on that if i was to chose again. Having a ski rental on site was really useful and the chap was helpful. The ski lift was a short walk away and you can pick up lift passes there. Unfortunately the hotel is some way from the town and requires a bus (free) or a taxi (not so cheap) it meant we felt a little trapped in the hotel in the evenings and had the choice of just the one restaurant for dinner. Food was good at the restaurant but there was limited veggie options and prices were steep. Personally I would chose to stay closer to the town centre in future. Closer to food and drink options, shops and a greater selection of accessible ski slopes. Probably better for families less good for couples.”
