We stayed in the hotel at Xmas, which was an excellent option. It wasn’t crowded at that time, tourists started to arrive from 26/12 on. The resort part, where we stayed, is much quieter so if you prefer calm place to stay, it’s just for you. The temperatures were 20 - 24 and it felt much warmer in sun. For nights I recommend sweater and long trousers. We always had our meals outside so at dinner I wore a jacket. Meals were OK, value for money. The only food I didn’t like so much was fish, cannot say what kind, I’d say pangas. Gala Xmas dinner was amazing, there was a variety of finger food, starters, savoury, BBQ, desserts, fruit, etc. Water is available in water tanks sipmly everywhere. On the forst day you get 1,5 l in a plastic bottle which you can keep and refill the water. Local beer is only good when it’s chilled, which is not very often. The hotel is well-equipped, provides loads of bech beds+matresses, enough place for all even if the hotel is full. I liked the beach with the view of the jetty - veyr romantic. We also appreciated the wind screens as in this season, it can be pretty windy. The helpful and always smiling staff also changes the beach towels against the card you get at the reception. Unfortunately, only one pool is heated (25-27 C) but you are not there to swim in the pool anyway. The sea temperature is cca 24. Not bad, for long snorkelling it feels rather coldish. Snorkelling is simply the best thing about Egypt. The reef is rich with lots of sea life and colourful corals. I recommend going to a nearby private beach for 3 Euro/return, which offers slightly different habitat. We also took a boat trip by the diving centre within the hotel. For 28 Euro you get an hour boat ride to another bay with three dives/snorkelling plus simple lunch and basic drinks. The only downsize is wifi, which is not free and available only in the lobby and ariund pools. Very poor signal, it’s apalling concidering the fact that you should get what ypu lay for. I didn’t care as I had intended to go on digital detox. You don’t need to post photos every second. To sum up, it’s absolutely worth it. Good holiday for good money in a clean, friendly hotel.

Appalling service at front house, You have to send them an email to confirm the booking when they can clearly see that we have a booking. No staff to carry your luggage from the car to reception. Had to wait 30 mins just to check in. Also ask what religion are you before you get to the room??? Also you have to carry the bottles of water you get from reception to the room with No glasses available to drink from... AC is just as bad.. It’s all just getting from bad to worse..
