“ok but not worth the money - I would not go here again and don't reccommend it.(+) POSITIVE: Nice hotel directly on the beach flanked by mountains; pretty tropical garden with lake and palm trees. Some free activities offered like snorkeling, kayaking etc.However, for the high prices the facilities and service are unfortunately not good enough and far from luxury. It's pretty, but there is no "wow" experience anywhere. Similarly, the beach is ok but not great (no sunset/sunrise visible, many algaes etc, no "pristine" nature but buildings everywhere, noisy jet skis allowed in the bay).(-) NEGATIVE: the entire hotel is extremely overpriced (luxury prices for only upscale services/facilities). Especially the food is crazy expensive, for what it is. Three-course dinner for two every night easily spends 120-180 euros (with no wine or cocktails!), and for the average quality it's not worth it: I can eat a lot better and cheaper in Europe! Even a softdrink or juice at the pool costs 10 euros.. The overpriced food & drinks make an extended holiday stay unenjoyable because you don't just relax and order what you want but think about prices all the time.. Similarly, the spa and massages are way overpriced and a rip-off. It ruins the experience and makes you feel trapped rather than on holiday.The pool is way too small for this size of hotel and number of rooms, so the pool area gets very crowded. Annoyingly, the pool is regularly full of screaming small children all day.. it's more like a water-kindergarden than a pool. Maybe good for parents to "park" their kids for the day, but forget relaxing! (better go to an "adults only" hotel instead!). The hotel should significantly enlarge the pool, or build a second "kids pool" somewhere else on the property. Like this it's just plain annoying and you can't relax.Service is very friendly but super slow. For example check-in took 45 minutes. If you order a drink you wait 20-30 minutes. The evening music programmes are terrible: musicians stand around in a corner playing cheap automated synthesizer beats from an electric keybord and sing to it, like in a bad movie or a depressing retirement home. The hotel should rather have good accoustic live music instead, and leave away the cliché keybord/synthesizer.The property is a bit dated: pool chairs are old and dirty, the rooms are nice but have squeaky old wardrobe doors, everything feels a bit "used" and slightly run down. The rooms have ZERO privacy: the bathroom is fully open and has no door, and the toilet is separated only by a milk-glass door that reaches only halfway up the ceiling.. so from the bedroom you can share all sanitary experiences.. who designs rooms that way?? 🙈IN SUMMARY: it's ok but not worth the money - I would not go here again and don't reccommend it to anybody.”
