“No nos dejaron pasar. En la oficina de turismo de monterrey nos recomendaron ir y visitarlo. Pero al llegar allí no pudimos pasar. (será por el covid) pero, lo que se ve por fuera ya es espectacular. Y los alrededores. Los balnearios de la zona también están cerrados.”

“Secluded gem of a vintage luxury hotel! We enjoyed our time in nature - early morning walks in the endless palace gardens and the spacious open air pool. The corner junior suite with a balcony overlooking the gardens was comfortable enough for a few days with a teenager but for longer stays 2 standard rooms would have been better. Breakfast is in line with expectations but is very ordinary and not impressive at all but the dinner makes all the difference - atmosphere of the dining room, the service, the exquisite food and the wine selection! My fave portoguese white wine ever found me here!! :) The tapas restaurant in the wine cellar on the other hand is very mediocre.”

El hotel me parece maravilloso, la atención es un diez, las habitaciones que me han tocado las tres veces q he venido han sido muy buenas. Se come muy rico, el personal es muy atento y educado sumo siempre intentándote agradar. Yo lo recomiendo y espero volver!!! Nunca me olvidó de dar tres vueltas al irme ya q es una tradición.

Um espaço exclusivo. Munido de uma área verde grande e com espaços de apoio espalhados pelo complexo. Um local isolado e calmo, ideal para distanciar da rotina e relaxar. Existem bicicletas que podem ser usadas para visitar a envolvente mais próxima.

Experiencia maravillosa, excepto por la habitación. Este lugar es impresionante, la atención de los trabajadores exquisita, prestan atención a muchos detalles. Pero es un sitio muy caro. Para lo caro que es, la habitación es muy pequeña y para nuestro gusto, con muy poca luz. A pesar de eso no puedo darle menos de 5 porque es una pasada. Cogimos una clase de golf y fuimos a cenar al restaurante, y fue perfecto. Una cena riquísima pero riquísima riquísima, con un pianista, un ambiente superagradable en el salón... La verdad que esta muy bien. Tiene un jardín muy grande que no pudimos disfrutar bien, pero yo ya estoy ahorrando para volver porque me ha encantado.

Fiquei indignado. Vim visitar Vidago na perspectiva de vir fazer termas. À entrada foi-me dito que nem podia subir os degraus do hotel??? Perguntei se poderia tomar um café disseram-me logo que não e além disso só poderia estar a vero parque durante 30m e nãopoderia tirar fotos. Perante isto decidi. ir fazer termas para Chaves.....

We were forbidden to enter with our dog (Yorkshire Terrier), asked not to enter the hotel, but allowed to walk in the park. The mood was very spoiled. The park is beautiful. It would be good to make information about bans in the public domain. Everything is very discriminatory. Although we are grateful that you do not need to declare your bank accounts.))

Most beautiful hotel I have seen by far. If you are looking to feel like you are in the great gastby movie, don't look any further. Excellent service, great property, charging station for electric cars, great restaurants specially the Wine cellar, makes it one of the greatest hotels in the country and maybe the best in the north of Portugal. Great experience.

O Hotelnãoposso avaliarporque nãoépermitida a entrada conforme me foi dito pelo segurançaà entrada do Parque . O que achei muito estranho . É privado ? Tem regras diferentesdos hotéis do resto do País ?Osegurançanãosoube responder e eu não insisti porque nãoqueria estragar o meu passeio.Quanto ao Parque fui avisada que só podia permanecer no mesmo 30 minutos. Não tinha intenção de passear por todos aqueles hectares de mata, mas meia hora ? Dava para que? Decidi não entrar. Agora compreendo porque o Partido "Os Verdes" questionam o Governo sobre a decisão de interdição do Parque Termal de Vidago a visitantes . Ésem dúvida uma atitude discriminatória para a população local e turistas em geral . Pobre União Europeia (que somos todos nós) se invista tão mal o dinheiro.

Tendo em conta o hotel em si, a sua localização, o parque que têm e os serviços que dispõem, fiquei desiludido com o facto de que as visitas ao parque são só de 30 minutos (apesar de não ver como é que o segurança iria saber se estive lá por 5 minutos ou por 5 horas) e está limitado só ao parque em si, não se pode visitar (ou passar pelo) o hotel e pelo campo de golfe. Apesar de não concordar com certas coisas, o segurança foi simpático a falar comigo e não tive problemas (o completo oposto do que li em alguns comentários). No entanto, o parque em si é bonito mas devia ser mais bem arranjado em algumas zonas, não só na zona principal do hotel.

We stayed at Vidago Palace for 2 nights and we had such an amazing experience!Our room was amazing, very spacious and beautifully decorated . The hotel surroundings are just perfect for a walk with beautiful flowers and trees everywhere. I really enjoyed the lake area, very peaceful and calm.The swimming pool area was great, very spacious and clean. We got a massage at the spa and we loved it. Staff was professional and kind.We had all of our meals at the hotel, and we got in love with the decoration of Salão Nobre. Food was delicious, very well prepared and presented for every single dish.We got the change to try the thermal water with some amazing properties.Our stay here was just perfect and I highly recommend this hotel for relaxing holiday.

We had a truly amazing and relaxing stay at Vidago Palace. The property features a beautiful palace of luxury within spectacular scenic and historical scenery. The interior of the hotel is elegant and classically authentic; high ornate ceilings, varnished wood panels and flooring, a sweeping double sided staircase and some of the most beautiful wallpapers you will ever see in an Hotel. With such a legacy of wellness and that supply of precious iron rich mineral water still bubbling up from the spring, the spa is obviously one of the highlights of this 5 star hotel and the perfect getaway for those seeking a peaceful and relaxed experience in the Portuguese countryside. The Vidago Palace Hotel is an unforgetable destination for anyone keen to find a five star luxury retreat away from the usual tourist hubs of Portugal.

Had a very nice stay, beautiful hotel and large rooms with vintage luxury. Relaxed atmosphere, meaning not as posh as similar hotels I have stayed at. Unique garden, with fabulous buildings.

What a stunning palace. It's really very, very beautiful. Our superior room was very comfortable, especially the bathroom had a nice retro style. Beautiful park to stroll around, and if you are a golfer, you have a challenging course 5 min walk away. Breakfast was average. Especially the cold cuts were not looking very inviting. And have you ever been to a 5 star hotel where you had to pay for boiled eggs? Me neither. But they had a good choice of musli and seeds, also the salmon was very good. Nice bar area, also outside beautiful to sit. And let's come to dinner. We had the tasting menu with pairing wines, and that was absolutely fantastic!We wonder, why there is not yet a Michelin star. It was really delicious. Also the tapas at the wine cellar were excellent. We had a great time, thanks to the team!

Classifico-o com 5 estrelas mas porque no meu imaginário, deve ser incrível! No passado dia 2, fui de propósito para visitá-lo achando que seria possível fazê-lo! Obviamente que não iria entrar no hotel. Apenas queria visitar os jardins do palácio e tirar umas fotos! Agora percebo pq Vidago está às moscas, pois a sua atração principal está fechada para quem a quer visitar e apreciar. Vidago só ganhava com isto! Vidago é este palácio que não se pode visitar e o resto é uma vila fantasma! E não! Não venham dizer que isso é impossível! Ainda à pouco tempo estive nos jardins do palácio Hotel do Bussaco e fartei-me de tirar fotos e passear por lá!

Que agradavel surpresa que tem sido este fim de semana, ca dentro. Bom, todas as palavras sao poucas para descrever este hotel que foi mandado construir por D. Carlos I e cuja finalizacao em 1910 ja da responsabilidade de seu filho D. Manuel e como casa de ferias da corte. Penso que D. Manuel nem teve oportunidade de o visitar. Arquitectura lindissima, decoracao brutal, medidas sanitarias adequadas, profissionalismo do staff e adequado a um cinco estrelas+. Optima a piscina e cozinha excelente. Aconselho vivamente.

Didn't visit the hotel itself, but have been in the surrounding and played in the golf course. Absolutely loved the gorgeous landing and the course is one of the best in the north of the county.

We had lunch with a friend one hot Sunday afternoon. Sharing classical Portugese rice as the main course and having an incredible pear desert. If you like the game of salt, caramel, pear, warmth and cold, go for it without extra thinking. As the ball room was quiet empty, we had too much attention form the waiters.

En una palabra expectacular todo, desde el desayuno hasta el restaurante, el lugar, el spa, los jardines inmensos, el personal súper profesionales y atención exquisita y exclusiva. Por poner una pega, el coche lo aparcan en una zona del gran jardín y al aire libre, en mi caso cuando lo retiré estaba lleno de resina de algún árbol y pese a lavarlo a presión no se quitó del todo.

El hotel es precioso, cuidan hasta el último detalle. El trato excelente. Lo único que me defraudó fue el jardin con el lago. Lo tienen totalmente abandonado, es una pena. Porque es un sitio precioso para pasear y desconectar.

I didn't stay in the hotel but my family and I had a lunch in the grand ballroom. Staff were great, friendly and professional. We ordered different starters to try and the only one we liked was the scallops and ravioli with prawns, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The octopus, cheese and ham wasn't tasty and worth at all. The main ones were much better portions and in general were good but considering the price and place, we expected them outstanding dishes and they weren't. We considered unacceptable that when we asked if all the fish was wild captured , they told us some were farmed fish. Obviously that was reflected on the quality and tastiness of the final dish. The desserts were delicious but we were surprised that the ice cream wasn't homemade. It's indisputable the level of labourious and techniques in every dish but if the products were premium the final result would be in harmony with the prices and restaurant. We would come back to see the place and surroundings but not really for the food.

No me alojé. Solo estuve de paso y me llamó la atención la tranquilidad del entorno y la majestuosidad exterior del hotel. Pasé al interior del mismo y utilice los baños sin problema. Los mismos botones del hotel me indicaron donde se encontraban. Y por lo que pude observar es un hotel de lujo. Se respiraba tranquilidad. Me gustó. Lo tengo como referencia para una posible escapada de relaj.

Es un hotel de lujo que hace honor a su categoría. Desde el mismo momento de la llegada se nota que todo el personal está preparado para atender al cliente de forma personalizada. Tiene spa gratuito para los clientes y bicicletas para recorrer la enorme extensión (unas 100 hectáreas). Los amantes del golf pueden disfrutar de lo lindo. La comida y el desayuno buffet son espectaculares. No me pareció caro teniendo en cuenta los servicios que presta.

A true gourmet experience.The memory of this meal will forever beburned in my memory.The wine selection is exceptional.The little touches abound.Friendly and attentive staff (not not bothersome), fresh Orchids at the table, three different gourmet olive oils to try with your bread.The apps that they comped me were extraordinary, I can't even describe them.The soup had so many subtle and complimentary flavors that I thought I was trying a different soup with ever spoonful.I played it safe with the main course, and ordered octopus and it was cooked perfectly, as where the accompanying greens. The atmosphere of this place is nothing shy of luxury, I almost thought that I should have worn a tux for this meal.
