Upon check in, the staff were incredibly unprofessional. Wearing hideous sunglasses at the check in desk, AT NIGHT, slumped over the counter, seemingly annoyed at our presence. Not the typical Hilton standard I'm use to. Our king junior suite was not cleaned very well. Body wash was completely empty in the shower, lightbulbs were out in the sitting room, glasses with the ice bucket were dirty. No attention to detail.

Got charged extra $60 for breakfast even though my reservation had it included. I even showed my reservation confirmation to the check in agent and she said she'd take care of it. I even requested the same during check out and again the agent said she'll make the adjustment. I still received final bill showing the extra $60. Breakfast bar had poor selection of items. Paid parking structure seem unsecure as people could just walk in from the street.

Beautiful hotel! Centrally located to all things downtown Columbia, the Hilton Columbia is a perfect place to stay! Very clean, with beautiful furnishings in the lobby and very helpful staff. The room was very well appointed! There is only one thing I would point out, although it wasn't worth reducing the 5-star rating; for those like me who are allergic to perfume, bring your own toiletries. The Crabtree & Evelyn products are no doubt lovely, however, they are a very strong floral scent. Additionally, there are powerful scent atomizers in the lobby area. I do take medication to help offset my allergies, but still got to me a little bit. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and recommend to anyone traveling through the Columbia area!

By far the best hotel experience we've had in years!!! We had an issue with our room after checking in. The wonderful lady at the desk was quick to upgrade us to a suite at a reduced rate than we already quoted and provided two complimentary breakfasts. Then we had to check out suddenly to tend to an urgent family matter. We asked if we could be credited our last room as we did want to return. A different lady, just as professional and friendly, waived our last night and said they understood. Breakfast was typical of any hotel. Kind of a let down as its name would suggest better quality. Again, we will stay here again and give Ruth's Chris another go. The location was nice. I predict it can be a nightmare when an event is going on. We found a nice selection of restaurants within walking distance. Even able to listen to a mysterious performer playing somewhere in a parking garage it seemed. We heard it from afar but it was really good. We look forward to staying here again when we visit Columbia.

Ok hotel in a good location but overall an underwhelming experience. Checked in on the mobile app. Never informed my room was ready even though I arrived well after check-in time. I didn't have my Hilton credit card on me but tried to use tap to pay but no contactless payment accepted (this would have been a non-issue if mobile check-in worked). When I checked out, payment was applied to a different card, not that one I switched it to when I checked in. A lot of deferred maintenance issues in the room. Dust in vents, damage to multiple items in the bathroom. Parking cost is a bit excessive for Columbia, SC but resourceful folks will figure out the work around. Think I will check out the Aloft a few blocks away next time I find myself in Cola.
