Stayed here in March, and had a wonderful experience. The guides are very knowledgeable about the local birds and flora, I recommend taking advantage of the daily tours to visit the bears and the estate.

Un lugar idílico, metido entre una pequeña selva al lado del pueblo de Machu Picchu y a los pies de la ciudad Inca del mismo nombre. A cinco minutos andando desde el lugar donde se Cohen los buses que llevan a la ciudad Inca. El personal es encantador y siempre, siempre te atiende con una sonrisa. Muy, muy recomendable

Desde el primer momento que se entra al hotel te sientes como en casa, te dan la bienvenida explicándole todas las actividades del hotel y a continuación nos hemos sorprendido con la calidad de las habitaciones. El servicio es increíble e impecable, gente muy amable y atenta a cualquier necesidad. Recomiendo actividad culinaria, aprendiendo a cocinar con el chef Alexander y el mejor camarero Andrés, porque no pude conocer a muchos más que seguro que era igual o casi de buenos!!!

We stayed at Inkaterra last year. I am compelled to leave this comment because during our 3-day stay, we witnessed 2 birds (one beautiful parakeet) killed by flying into the big bright uncoated windows in the dining area. It is a shame that a nature-preserving place did not bother to coat their windows so that birds don’t crash into them and die. We liked our stay, but seeing the birds die in this way cast a sad shadow over our experience. We sincerely hope the management can do something to those windows so that they don’t kill more birds.

Este majestuoso hotel, escondido entre el exuberante bosque a los pies de Machu Picchu, se encuentra al borde de Aguas Calientes, y a orillas del Rio Urubmba, con una arquitectura, que juega muy bien con el entorno natural, donde sus cuartos escondidos en sus 5 hectáreas que contiene hasta aguas termales para relajarse en la comodidad del hotel, con una gran cantidad de especies de aves que incluye hasta el relojero montañero o Momotus aequatorialis, que se pueden ver durante una actividad de observación de aves organizado en el hotel para los huéspedes....no deje de vivir esta experiencia de pasar aunque sea una noche en este lugar mágico....

Un paraíso terrenal extraordinario, definitivamente vale la pena pagar lo que cuesta estar aquí, la reserva por una noche en este lujoso te incluye el desayuno, cena y ademas de 5 actividades guiadas con un guia dentro de la propiedad sin costo adicional. Me encantó el Jardín de orquideas, y las numerosas aves que pueden apreciarse a lo largo y ancho de este recinto.

Beautiful grounds, amazing food and engaging tours of the grounds to teach you about the history and indigenous plant and animal life. Top notch ammenities, incredibly comfortable and serene rooms. Worth the splurge, just make sure you have enough time to enjoy it in addition to Machu Picchu

The setting in the middle of the jungle is what makes this property the most special. There are only a few hotels in Aguas Calientes, and this is by far the best. It’s expensive, but worth it for the location alone. And Machu Picchu is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so we wanted to do it right. The rooms are pretty dated and could use a refresh, but that isn’t a huge deal. The food and hotel staff were friendly. We bought a tour of the Machu Picchu Citadel and a few hikes. It was $400 USD for two of us, but we had our own private tour guide and everything was taken care of, including lunch at the Belmont hotel at the entrance of Machu Picchu. And our tour guide was awesome and super knowledgable (and kept up with us on our hikes).

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in quite a few. The ambiance of walking out of your room and being in the middle of a rain / cloud forest is absolutely amazing.On the grounds they have many activities, for instance orchid and bird walks. They obviously spend a lot of time making sure there are plenty of birds to see. I've stood 1m from several hummingbirds as they were feeding, quite a magical experience.The room service was very good, the breakfast was very nice, really a nice experience overall. I'd recommend just staying an extra day to spend on the hotel grounds.

Cabins are distributed around lush grounds a few minutes walk from the railway station.Room was big and comfortable.The hotel offers a range of activities including a sanctuary for rescued Spectacled Bears.The restaurant serves excellent food but is expensive.There is some train noise from the nearby railway station, with the first train sounding it’s horn around 5.30am.

A truly wonderful eco hotel situated in easy walking distance from the town. Magnificent tropical gardens full off different plant life and birds. The bear sanctuary is a real credit to them. Well appointed spacious rooms.

OMG the most amazing resort ever. I've traveled the world and stayed in $3/night hostels up to $500/night resorts. This was a top choice. Extremely well run, staff were attentive, the facilities top notch and the tours were high level. Daily breakfast and dinner were excellent and not just because they were included in the cost.
