Located on the seafront overlooking the idyllic beaches of Punta Cana, the Ocean El Faro is a newly built five-star resort that opened its doors in late 2018. It features water attractions including large swimming pools, a calm stream with a gentle current, ideal for relaxing and letting go, as well as a family area with a water park. The resort, located in the Uvero Alto area, also has spectacular rooms, a wide range of themed restaurants, a Despacio Spa Centre, Privilege, Exclusive Rooms and Services and a full programme of entertainment for the whole family. In July 2019, the hotel will open an exclusive area for guests 18 and over with specialized services and leisure activities.

“The place is still significantly under construction in the area that we were staying in. It is a very large facility and some people have complained there's a little too much walking but I really didn't think that that was much of an issue and they have a nice little train. The little train cart takes you down the walks to all of the different locations that you may want to get to. The rooms are very nice and modern.Ours room was obviously just completed moments before we took it. if you are an architect you'd understand this but, they had not done a punch list prior opening the room and there were many items left undone. I posted 360-degree views of the room that we were staying in. The food is like you're on a large cruise liner with all kind of options all over the place. There are many pools, lots of things to do for children, and adult areas. There's a nice lazy river for you to ride in a tube along if you like. There's workout spaces. The staff is always very helpful, no complaints. The only complain I would have is, the beaches really are not up to par of what you'd expect for this area of the country.”
