“My family enjoyed our stay and was very relieved about the experience after reading some of the online reviews.
The surrounding area of the hotel has little restaurants, cafes, and a bakery. Very well lit parking lot at night, we felt safe here with our two year old and had zero issues during our two nights over a weekend.
We stayed on the first floor and were pleasantly surprised about the room after paying only $70 a night after tax.
Our beds had pillow top mattresses that appeared to be new and were very comfortable, we checked our linens/towels which were also clean and felt new, granite bathroom countertop, and the AC was quiet and worked great.
Our room was soundproofed good as well, we didn't hear anything from the surrounding rooms besides an occasional door behind closed in the hallway.
My only critique about our room is the bathroom door handle did not have a latch. Very understandable oversight considering they are renovating this hotel.
We will gladly come back and take advantage of the extremely reasonable room rates. Once the hotel is fully renovated it will match the rest of this neighborhood and room rates will definitely be going up.”

“This was my first visit to Orland. I’ve stayed at a La Quinta before and enjoyed it. I pulled in the parking lot, which gave me a really bad feeling. There were broken windows, blankets covering the window and a boom lift being used to paint the outside. I decided to walk inside just to confirm my feeling. Well I walked in and immediately confirmed it. There was a woman walking around as if she was “working.” Then a man drive into the parking lot to do an exchange of some sort. I immediately left. Unsafe and very dirty vibes. Stay away from this place.”
