During my trip the city was hit by a really big rain season so we were forced to stay inside the hotel for most of the weekend. Due to this we noticed lots of big problem in maintenance. Leaks everywhere in the social areas like restaurants and bar. Walkways would flood and water would get into the rooms. Also social areas are way too small for the amount of people that can stay in the hotel. Yes you can drink a lot, but, if your cramped into a small place, them you really can't enjoy it. Rooms are a mix of remodeled and old like the ac control that was so old that it's didnt work most of the time (sin e it rained most the time this didn't affect much) Beach in from of the hotel is currently being worked to prevent fold Ng so.. .you can't use it. Staff was really nice and attentive

I had a bad experience The rooms are nasty nothing to what I was expecting in the photos as of 22 August 2022 and for about 2 years they will not have a beach in front of the Hotel due to construction if you want a 2 star room with a 4 star food menu that is the place. I was disappointed with the room not even one picture took of the inside of the room... beautiful view from the valcony

the service is amazing!!!!! rooms are big, comfortable and very clean. it has great views. and the all includes is amazing, you save tons of money with the food at the hotel. decameron 100% recommended

The transportation to the hotel from the airport was great. After we checked in the room they gave us smelled like mold, toilet was leaking, both air conditioners were half working, one was leaking water. We asked for a new room. They sent a worker who said he can fix the air conditioners but we had to leave the room for some time. We quickly said no we just got back from a 5 hour city your and had to get ready for dinner reservations. They said to talk to a supervisor who quickly just gave us a new room which was very much more acceptable. Decor in the rooms could be better but the food and drinks were good. There is a pharmacy/store around the corner (similar to a CVS/Walgreens) which was great as well.

This place is disgusting. There are mysterious stains on the walls, floors, tables, and even the bed. I woke up with bug bites everywhere. The curtains we had in our living room don’t even work, what’s the point of privacy? The rooms were also very poorly built, having uneven walls, not putting effort in finishing them and making them look smooth. Overall the hotel is nice, just the rooms are very disgusting.

Em frente ao hotel nos convidaram para um "pasadia em baru". Marcaram hora e simplesmente não apareceram e ninguém sabia de nada. Desistimos e fomos pra praia aí um supervisor veio atrás de nós com um blablabla sinixxxtro! Como sempre digo, não existe almoço gratis ... Cuidado

Hotel muito antigo, mas pensem em antigo, cheiro dê mofo, água que caia do ar na sala, paredes mofadas e úmidas e o cheiro de mofo horrível. Porta com chave 🔐, mexeram em nossa mala, bebidas horríveis mas pensem em rui, servido em copo plástico descartável, tanto como vinho e todas as bebidas em geral muito, muito rui, o ar é um horror, muita gente feia credo, pelo valor que se paga deveria ser top Maravilhoso, comida horrível. Tudo muito rui, mas pense em coisa rui. 13/10/17

Bom serviço e Boa localização. Escutei alguns hóspedes reclamando das instalações dos primeiros andares (hasta em quinto piso), reclamei e no mesmo dia me mudaram para o piso 17 com uma vista incrível do mar e do centro histórico.

Os colombianos são rígidos com horários! Se o café da manhã for até às 10h as 9:40 eles já começam a tirar as coisas e se alguém for pegar alguma coisa as 10horas eles são grossos e mal educados! Isso acontece em todos os estabelecimentos. Porém de resto os quartos a comida e a limpeza são ótimos.

Local muito bom, boa comida, instalações boas, pessoal atencioso o Wi-Fi é gratuito mas muito instável.

Hotel bom, com serviço de recepção excelente e equipe de funcionários educados e calorosos. Os quartos são confortáveis. Há várias opções de restaurantes a la carte para o jantar (italiano, pescados, carnes). O buffet do café da manhã é farto e o pão de queijo delicioso. O almoço também é bom. De críticas só o ar condicionado gelado da recepção e restaurante terrazo (choque térmico), bem como muita escada para resolver check-in, reservas, o que dificulta para idosos e pessoas com necessidades especiais.

El hotel se encuentraen mal estado, muy deteriorado el servicio, no hay colaboración para adultos mayores que desconocen el manejo de las plataformas virtuales para reserva de comidas. Ofrecen una cena en el restauranteSan Pedro pero con poco tiempo para lograr una reserva. No hay carpas en las playa. Muy regular la experiencia

Decameron siempre haciendo alusión al éxito de su "all inclusive". Un hotel cómodo, habitaciones con vista al mar, servicio amigable por parte de sus trabajadores. Para unos días de descanso es un gran opción.

El hotel cambió para mal por la pandemia, a diferencia de otros hoteles que mejoraron para atraer huéspedes, la comida no es variada, solo pastas, y pastas , los postres pobres, en general el buffet pobre , no es como antes, fuimos con familiares que era la primera vez y se arrepienten de todo lo que pagaron ,los snacks monótonos, no comprendo si se paga tanto, porque hay tanta ausencia en el buffet, en las bebidas, en snacks y en el servicio wn general. No lo recomiendo, con lo que pague hubiera encontrado otro hotel con mejores alternativas . Decepcionante.

El servicio a desmejorado desde julio, debido al cambio de administración y la pandemia. Mí recomendación es que sí buscas algo calidad-precio o algo acorde a tus necesidades es mejor que busques otro hotel.

We arrived at 3pm as that was check in. With only about 20 people waiting this took over 1 hour to get done and us to our room. We came with 2 small bags which we were going to carry to our room when we were told they would take them to our room. We inquired where to get something to eat and was told only had one option. We went there and the only food available was a hamburger or chicken sandwich. We ordered one of each and a drink. After 10 min and no drinks asked the waiter and he said he forgot. When the food arrived the hamburger which I am not sure was actually meat was cold and looked like it had been run over by a car. The chicken sandwich you could not find the chicken and when i did it was small and cold along with cold fries. The wait staff did not care. We arrived back to our room and no luggage. After multiple calls to the desk as to the location of our luggage and being told each time it will be there in 5 min. After 45 min of this and still no luggage now they hang up the phone and will not speak to us. Two and half hours to get our luggage 300 meters to our room. Now is too late to go to the pool as we had an assigned time for dinner which as many resorts we have stayed at never had this. Dinner was poor at best. Advance to the morning after breakfast we go to the pool which we could not the day before and are told pool does not open until 10. We go to the bar to get a drink and are told bar does not open until 10 and by the way you have to check out at 12. So for over $300 we got a cold sandwich, poor dinner, a bed to sleep, 2 drinks and 1 hour in the pool. When asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge to complain we were told they were not available. First and last time staying with these thieves.

AVOID ! Go to the Hyatt or ANY other hotel in the city. Our stay was disastrous. First we arrive and they give us the worst rooms of the hotel, they are next to the ventilation system where you can't even hear yourself talk. Sleeping in that room ? Out of the question ! Then we managed to get the rooms changed after some difficult negotiations with the lobby. We had to make a reservation for everything, the reservation system was really bad and worked half the time. By some miracle we didn't have to make a reservation to go to the lobby bathrooms. One day we had a friend come because we were going to eat out, she absolutely had to go to the bathroom but the hotel REFUSED to let her go in the lobby. Is THIS 5 star hotel service (they pretend it is) ?! Not letting a guest's friend use the lobby bathroom ONCE????? We had to force the passage of our friend since it was either letting her use it, or her peeing herself in the reception. This is a TWO star hotel. At most. You'd think women would understand the needs of their gender but the ones that refused the most were women in the lobby! No sympathy from the staff. Terrible service, specially in the restaurant. The caterers rarely smile, they have a terrible attitude, you can't ask to change your table and ask for specific items (a coke with ice seems like a hard ask) without them complaining or making a face. It's as if they are doing US a favor when it is WE that paid (not cheap) for the stay. They told us they would send us a feedback form, our trip was in June and I am STILL waiting for the famous form. No wonder they haven't sent it. Decameron Cartagena Boca Grande? NEVER AGAIN!

Good service, good food, old building

Very poor old trashy hotel and not cheap, spend there my 50s birthdays there with my family group of 18 people , hotel need a good maintenance, rooms look like the gave you a storage room ,better management,a interior designerthe only good about the employees , friendly and attentiveNOT RECOMMENDEDDECAMERON CARTAGENA AT ALL

The Decameron hotel just keep the good name had in the 90s. The building is old and also the furniture , forget about decoration not even a painting in the rooms, and the chairs couldn’t be shorter for dwarfs ,would be still absurd ( someone cut the legs of those chairs ?). Slippery floors in hallways, and social areas , and the bathroom worst. Just one Pool for a supposed named resort( average size), and not even steps to go in, so if you travel with elderlies or disability people, choose another hotel. The Entertaining couldn’t be worse, dance presentation similar a or worst that a elementary school, the more exiting thing was a lousy bingo with the amazing price of hotel t-shirt. Food very average tending more to bad, and the drink are equivalent to a cocktel diluted in 90% water .The good Things : Employees do their best to make your stay good ,( well not front desk and pool area) , and the location is not bad,. In conclusion, for the rates you would pay in this hotel, be smart, any hostal would be much better !!!!!!

Great staff for the most part; friendly and accommodating. Very clean besides for the accumulated hair between the bathroom sink & the wall. This place is a total dump. Nothing about this hotel is resort-like. It's a run down hotel, a pool and a sub-par buffet. Decor lacks style. White walls throughout, not a single print or art anywhere. It looks similar to a prison cell. Food is awful. Absolutely awful. Chaotic processes in place. The drinks were terrible... each one tastes like watered down cheap alcohol masked with fruity syrups. No fresh ingredients. And each adult beverage is served in a 4 oz plastic cup. Trash. I would avoid this place like The Plague.

When I was in this hotel in 2014 I had a very good time and the truth is that I feel that it has a very good location since it is facing the sea and there is a restaurant below which you must visit...
