“We really enjoyed this resort mostly because of the pools and their location to the beach. There are a lot of pool bars which I appreciate because as people know pool bars tend to have people stay all day and never leave. Eww. Having the choice of three or four pool bars was nice. The only complaint about the pools was there were only a few that were heated and it was quite chilly During the time of year that we went. It would’ve been nice to have an outside hot tub to end the day. This is a huge resort so expect to do a lot of walking which we enjoy on holidays because we eat and drink for a week so the exercise is welcomed. Our room was very nice with a king size bed, and always clean. I am a bath person, so I didn’t miss not having a bath to relaxing because there was only a shower. We had a bottom floor room in building number seven. We enjoyed the buildings location, it is close to the pools and the beach. I wouldn’t recommend a bottom floor, because I felt like there were a lot of bugs coming in. I did get quite a few bug bites and did have to spend some time killing mosquitoes every night before bed. I have not had this experience before in Mexico so that was a bit annoying. Next time I would ask for building number seven and a room on the fourth floor. This building also has elevators. The food is totally fine and there are a lot of choices throughout the day and evening. We particularly enjoyed the sushi restaurant, the food was fresh and very tasty. They have a different set up for the restaurants at night, you cannot make reservations during the week. You have to show up about a half hour before the restaurant opens, and either stand in line or put your name down for a later time. We did not do this and tended to just show up and very seldom had much of a wait. They will also give you a buzzer to take with you to go have a drink and come back when your reservation is ready. There were a lot of comments about this resort, being a party place and that there are party locations throughout the resort, but there are also some great quiet locations if that’s not your thing. They do have foam parties throughout the week, but they start fairly early and do not go past 10 PM at night. We never felt disturbed by any partying and joined in on one of the foam parties one night and had a blast. The staff at this resort are very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I would have is that there are not enough Restrooms throughout the resort. Down at the pools by the beach there is one set of bathrooms that are convenient to the pools. Up in the middle of the resort the restrooms are much harder to locate and farther from the pools. At one point it felt like people might be just peeing in the pool because it was more convenient. The other suggestion would be to have more live music throughout the resort. We did not see any mariachi bands, or any local music. The restaurants at night did not have music playing, which would’ve definitely helped with the ambience. The resort was very clean and well-maintained. All in all it was a great vacation and a great resort.”

“Just returned March 14, 2020. This resort is the most disorganized place I have ever stayed at. Most likely due to the hundreds upon hundreds of students arriving daily to attend their home away from home frat parties. This resort could be 4*+, however, when you let an unlimited amount of kids in it makes it very college dorm like. If you don't want to witness drunken kids being wheeled out of themed pool parties in wheelchairs passed out, vomit in the hallways and public bathrooms, screaming and yelling throughout the day and night, do not go to this hotel during the month of March. In fact do not go to the Riu Palace either because they also allow students in there as well. The food was good, decent variety and lots to choose from. They do wash their plastic cups to be reused so I highly suggest that you bring you own beverage cup to wash out yourself for reuse especially in this current global health crisis. The room next door to me got broken into and was trashed including the room safe. Camera equipment and drone equipment was taken along with cash. My girlfriend had her Cole Haan leather sneakers stolen from a different room. So beware of that if you choose this hotel. I personally will never be back to this Riu. I would like to experience Cabo going to a more secure hotel and not in March!!”
