“First off I have been staying here for a long time before it was a Hilton. My experience on this trip have been below par. There is a low occupancy yet I was placed on a very low level with no view. I paid for the larger room and view and got not much. The bed is comfortable. The food at the bar and the restaurant have been what the menu states in name only. Very bland food. There is no flavors or any kind of flare. Good enough to take a good picture and then nothing after that. The first day no one cleaned my room. I had to ask for towels just to have fresh ones. The ice machine doesn't work on my floor and with my key from a low floor I can not even get to a higher floor to get ice. Today I used the taxi service to go somewhere close by and they charged $10 it is the most ridiculous charge. Even after I had words with the taxi driver and the front desk person I was still charged $10(update the front desk worked with the taxi driver to obtain the correct billing and that was communicated with me after this review). No one needs while traveling so good on the reception personnel for getting the correct billing. I have always been treated very well and fairly in Nicaragua. But this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I give the hotel over 2 stars because the pool is nice and the rooms and freshly done and clean.”
