Hippos and crocodiles are the closest neighbors. The food is good. The staff is very kind. É um lugar muito tranquilo à beira de um pequeno riacho. His menu choices and presentations were superb. No buffet stuff here. Staff is very attentive and accommodating. Been here many times, so let me just say to those considering for the first time...don’t hesitate for a second. If you know it works for your budget and your tempted to find a more “fancy” resort like MM or G’s, you are wasting time and money by not staying at Explorer. Time because no property in the mara beats Explorer and Intrepids in terms of location to sites, animals, landing strip, sunsets, etc. Money, well because time is money.
