“3.5. If you have to be in downtown Oakland, this is a good (not great) option. Service was incredible. Every employee I encountered. That’s the highlight. A significant one. The location is decent, good access to BART, convention center. Couple of decent food options, within 2-3 blocks. But, the neighborhood is a little rough. Even having stayed in a lot of large city hotels, this area made me a bit uncomfortable. Condition of the hotel is…old. Not bad, but everything just seems a little worn out. Furniture, elevator, gym, fixtures. Reasonably clean, if you didn’t look TOO close. But….the staff was great.”
