Fourth stay at this hotel. We ALWAYS look forward to coming here for the Auckland Anniversary weekend and enjoy the million dollar vew of the Harbour. It was a shock to find our apartment had a full on view of an unsightly construction building blocking out what use to be the most beautiful and breath taking view. Due to that building, our curtains were closed most of the time. Very disappointed, will not be returning knowing first hand the Harbour view is no longer 😢😕😞

The photos for this hotel are highly deceptive. We paid extra for the “Harbour view” now this view is only visible from the master bedroom from the far left side of the window, due to massive under construction building higher than this hotel. This means you need to have the full block out curtains closed so as construction men are not looking straight into your window- there are no see through curtains. The washing machine was broken- granted they gave us a key to another room on our level to take our washing to to wash. The hotel suit itself is very outdated and the carpet very old- there is a very musty smell / dark. The gunk build up in the shower glass frame is awful. All in all the price for what this hotel is does not match. The people who live there permanently reflect the rating of this hotel. Two stars. We were informed they would waive our parking fee of $90. We shall see.

The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. We have a room on 37 and it’s comfortable and the views are amazing. Close to absolutely everything. Supermarkets are close. Thank you to the staff who made us feel nothing but welcome. Even booked us a shuttle to the airport home, Highly recommended

When I arrived and was allocated a parking space (for $45!) both the male members of staff who came down to show me where to park abruptly turned and walked away as soon as I had parked. As I had no idea where they went, or how to get into the building from the car park I had to then carry all my luggage out the car park, through the streets to the entrance of the building. I discovered the next morning at checkout that there was an internal access. My daughter and I decided to travel down the stair well when we were going out in the evening. There was crusty dried in pools of vomit on several of the staircases. When we got to the ground floor there was a spooky flickering light and puddles on the floor. The fire exit door was LOCKED from the inside, we had to venture all the way back up to the 7th floor (all the fire doors on each level were locked!). Once back in our floor we had to bang on the door to get out and thankfully another guest let us out. The toilet in our suite did not flush very easily. There was no internal lock on the door. The balcony door was very hard to open. There was an incident in the lift at 10.30pm when my daughter and I came home. We had no choice to get into the lift with 3 male guests. As we got to our floor one of the male guests, who had no reason to exit the lift, got out behind us and followed a few steps behind us, when I turned around be stopped and ran back to the lift. This unnerved us. Had NO internal lock. Contemplated leaving the suite and driving hundreds of kms home. Eventually decided to stay but had to open the oven and dishwasher to block the entrance to our room in order to feel safe. The strip club across the road was so loud that we struggled to sleep. Had to leave the TV on to down out the noise. The rooms were very hot and old air con system also very loud. Left this morning absolutely shattered. The pictures that are displayed for the accommodation are seriously not an accurate representation of what the actual rooms look like.

Stayed here recently and would not stay again. Staff were lovely and certainly the best thing about the place. First room very dirty - urine in the toilet, overwhelming musty / damp smell, chips, marks and stains on all the walls. Sat on the bed and the headboard came away and took out the picture on the wall. Carpet heavily soiled, furniture old and scuffed, floor not vacuumed. Changed to another room and while it was slightly better the carpet was bare, lumpy and stained in places with a plethora of stains across all soft furnishings. Bed linen appeared clean but that's about it.

Rooms left a little to be desired, seemed very tired and not like the website shows. Drains in the shower over bath do not drain for at least 15 minutes after the water has been turned off. Toilet...
