“The location of this hotel is not central with few restaurants around.
I had a reservation at this hotel. I arrived very late in the evening (almost midnight.) I had called earlier in the day to say my colleague had to cancel her room. But for some reason both rooms were cancelled. Mistakes happen and I have no issue with this actually. What did upset me was the attitude of the reception who was rude, dismissive, and could only tell me "we have no rooms available at all because we are.over booked." And "you are going to find it very difficult to get a room in Amsterdam as it is busy everywhere." He was rude and super sassy about it. It wasn't until I said I would have to sleep on the reception sofa that he then offered to ring around other hotels where his friends work. Fortunately my regular hotel had space and I went there for my stay.”
