Year 2021. 30 January. I have stayed at this hotel many times when I have visited Mexico City. Today I can not recommend this hotel. Barcelo has been transformed into a prison with staff who constantly shout at you for the smallest things. This is not okay. At the same time, there are allt of people affected by drugs who hang out outside the hotel. This along with the threatening staff of the hotel makes me want to inform future guests of this hotel to choose another hotel in Mexico City. The staff is very unpleasant towards all the guests of this hotel and I have witnessed staff shouting at young children. It was a good hotel. But not any more.

Es un lindo hotel, muy bien ubicado. Si bien tiene sus años, esta muy bien mantenido, estoy en el premiun level, lo que hace que tenga un par de beneficios extras. Sin perjuicio de la pandemia, que entiendo provoca muchas limitaciones, creo que el hotel aprovecha esto para limitar los servicios. La piscina y el gimnasio no funcionan, el desayuno es a la carta, muy limitado. No puede ser que en un hotel 5 estrellas que incluye el desayuno, te cobre por ejemplo un agua mineral que quieras tomar para desayunar. El club level también muy pobre y sin opciones. Le sumo que te cobran el estacionamiento, que por el precio y la poca demanda que hay, tendría que estar incluido como atención del hotel. En efecto, pienso que no vale lo que pagué. Decepcionante.

El lugar es amplio, desde el check-in todo está controlado, bastante limpio y se siente un lugar seguro. La terraza del piso 12 tiene una linda vista y, la hora feliz está bien, los chilaquiles rojos del desayuno están deliciososEl Servicio al Cuarto es rápido y son atentos, las alitas son muy buenas solo que sí están picosas.

My colleagues and I had breakfast at hotel restaurant on 17th December. We came down with food poisoning. I informed the hotel so that this would not happen to anyone else. They denied this issue and were very insulting and inconsiderate. Any other hotel in this area would be more compassionate.

This hotel was quite beautiful and service was great. It’s located centrally within walking distance of some tourist attractions. The breakfast was very good as well. It was truly a 5 star experience . I highly recommend .

Really good hotel in a great location in Mexico City. About 20 min drive from the airport, in no traffic. It’s really fancy as you walk in. The staff is really well trained, friendly and courteous. They all spoke excellent English as well.The gym is nice. The pool is smaller and next to it. The only issue with both is that it’s covered with clear tarp. So this makes it really hot and stuffy during the day. Plus with Mexico City being at 7000’, you can get tired real fast in the gym.If you somehow have access to the Premium Lounge, that is also really nice. Just walk in and have the complimentary snacks and beverages. The view is really nice!The rooms are nice but could have more powerful air conditioning. It just takes a little while to adjust temperatures but it’s OK once you get to it. The pillows are awesome, cause they’re not HUGE like a lot of other hotels. My room had 2 queen beds and once was soft and one was firm, so it was nice to choose one to my preference.There’s quite a few good options for restaurants on the hotel. Along with that, there’s lots of options around as well.

Bom hotel já um pouco antigos más recentemente renovado. Aconselho ficar no piso 12 por ser executivo mais privacidade e restaurante incluído na zona executiva. Quartos bastante confortáveis e boa localização para visitar a cidade

Extremamente satisfeito: essa é a nossa avaliação para este hotel. Tudo foi correto. Do inicio ao fim tudo foi bom. Bonito e moderno. Ótimos quartos, banheiros e camas. O café da manhã é incrivelmente farto e de boa qualidade. Está ao lado de vários meios de transporte que te permite conhecer toda a cidade facilmente. MUITO BOM.

Booked a King size bedroom but they gave me a room with two full-size beds; when I complained I was told they didn't have my room type available so we settled for the one they gave us, however, after two uncomfortable nights of two people squeezing in a full bed, we asked to be switched and they gave us a king size.. much better.. The hotel is nice, very beautiful ambiance with great restaurant options and perfect room service. Staff is kind and the hotel is centrally located. I do have an issue with their elevators, which took forever to arrive on any given floor. Two of them were broken and it always took me a while to be able to go up or down. I even used the service elevators a couple of times. All in all, I would recommend the hotel, but there are some kinks that definitely need to be worked out.

Checked in on 10.1.19.... Booked package online.. Ground transport was on time a very pleasant gentleman but we couldn't learn much from him as he spoke no English.... Got to check-in and was told by Addy that the King size room we booked was not available until the following day.... It's 10.6.19 and we are checking out... Guess what it's Addy again!... So I'm reminding her about our room change that never happened!.... Mexico is beautiful the people are warm and friendly... Just avoid Addy if you stay at Barcelo Mexico Reforma

This is our first visit to Mexico and Hotel Barcelo made this experience complete. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Location could not be any better. Could be the best hotel breakfast I could remember. Sonora Grill Restaurant in the hotel lobby serves really good food. Even though I think they are not part of the hotel.

If you are a tourist, stay elsewhere. Closer to decent restaurants, museums. The staff in the hotel did what they wanted to do, not what you asked for. The swimming pool looks nice, but is a joke...
