“DO NOT PATRONIZE MELIÁ PUNTA CANA BEACH RESORT (Adults Only). I am a travel enthusiast and have been to several resorts around the world that provided top tier service, beautiful clean rooms, a variety of amenities, and delicious food.My travel party booked ocean view/Level rooms at the same time. When we got to the resort only one of us (who paid less) got a Level suite room while the rest of us did not. Our first room did not have an ocean view that Meliá advertises on their website. The front desk told us that we would have to pay additional money to upgrade… although we paid more. After serious pushback and making plans to cancel and go to another resort (Royalton CHIC Punta Cana); we were asked by the staff to give them a chance to correct things. They transferred 2 of us to rooms that had a somewhat ocean view and with the exact same layout. This process took an entire day.Hospitality The customer service is subpar as a whole (there are only a small handful of helpful staff members). There is a noticeable difference in their treatment of guests who speak fluent Spanish or of Latino heritage. We tried to speak as much Spanish that we are capable of. While we do not expect for the staff to learn every language to accommodate guests, we expect the same level of service for everyone regardless of nationality and origin.Rooms The electrical system appears to be wired by 1st graders. You have to play musical wall switch just to get certain lights and ceiling fan to work. The bathroom in my first room were full of ants and the toilet in my second room ran constantly. I notified the front desk and it was finally fixed the day before we were to check out. Before anyone asks, yes I jiggled the handle. The towels and bedding were itchy and dirty with obvious stains. This may be due to their laundry detergent however.Room keys are subject to stop working at any given time. 1 person in our travel party had this happen twice. One time was at night after coming back from dinner. She had to walk to concierge to get a replacement key. The other time was coming back to her room after spending the day on the beach. A maid had to let her in because it took them over 30 minutes to get her a working key.Beach & Pool Area The beach and pool area are nice and clean. However, there are independent vendors that come on the resort property trying to sell excursions, and products. They can be very persistent and makes the relaxing experience unenjoyable. Side note: There are signs in the Beach/Pool areato be aware of vendors as the resort is not responsible for any damages from the excursions.To add, in speaking with other guests; they were also unhappy with this resort.This was our first time at this resort and we’re very disappointed. We chose this resort based on their previous reviews.To Meliá: You never know who is staying at your resort and the influence they may have. Please do better for all of your guests.”

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days August 2022. We booked through a travel agent who set up airport transportation to and from the hotel (highly recommend). Upon checking in, we were greeted with welcome drinks and shown to our room.
This is where the luxurious vacation ended. Our room was incredibly hot and the AC unit was not turned on when we arrived. Throughout the trip, the AC said it was on 55 degrees, but the room just never cooled down. The room smelled like mildew and the bed was wet the entire stay. There were 4 water bottles, some sodas, and a few beers in the fridge. There were no liquor dispensers and our room didn’t have a tub as advertised. We called multiple times for more water which never arrived so we just had to purchase more at the gift shop. They do not want to give you more water. Even though we never drank the tap water, we both still became sick.
When checking in, they gave us a sheet that contained all the restaurant hours. What that paper didn’t say is that only 2 of the 4 are open each night and while normal guests cannot make reservations, only diamond club can, so expect a 3+ hour wait or eating at the buffet each night. The food was alright. The pool bar, Munchies, was the actually the best of all. The buffet for breakfast and lunch are fine, but for dinner it was garbage. Room service options are extremely limited. The steak house was good as well.
The service is lackluster. Tipping is expected at every staff interaction and they are just not happy to be there. There were no smiles and we felt like we were inconveniencing them by asking for a drink. Expect to wait 10-20 min per drink at the pool bar (not because it’s crowded, because they just will not service you).
We were told we have $300 in resort credits but never received them when checking in, so we had to go and ask the front desk, and it’s just a coupon book with $20 taken off services normally included at an all inclusive.
The people selling cabanas will hound you until you relent and purchase one. We did, and we were scammed. We were told it was for Friday but received a call Thursday night that we didn’t show up for our cabana (we were at the pool all day Thursday and all cabanas were taken so that just wasn’t true that there was a cabana waiting for us). I wish I could remember the staff member’s name who called because I’ve never been spoken to like that in my life. We were told while it was their fault for telling us the wrong day, we would still have to pay for it and there were no other options for getting a cabana for Friday. The man literally yelled at me through the phone. We went to the front desk to talk about this and luckily the rude man’s manager came up, apologized, and gave us a daybed for Friday and dinner on the beach as equal compensation to a cabana.
While at our daybed, there was no service what-so-ever. It was a running joke throughout the trip that we must be invisible because there’s no way staff would ignore you as much as they do at the CHIC.
The Vibe Team and fitness instructors were great.
The beach was covered in seaweed and there was a red flag our entire stay so you couldn’t get in the water. The size of the beach was very small as well.
All in all, we will not be back to the CHIC. The service was bad and for how much you’re paying, very little is included. I would recommend doing diamond club because maybe you’ll have better luck, but based on other reviews, just go somewhere else. Marriott needs to come in and take a good look at the management of this property.

The room was nice. However, the bathroom was slightly cramped in the toilet are, but the separation was nice for personal space. The beach view is extremely nice, but lots of seaweed. Possibly due to the season. All the restaurants and bars were good. Carlos P made took our experience over the top for my partner's birthday celebration. Catch him at the gabbanas.

Estuve ahí la semana pasada mi primera vez en Punta Cana no la pase mal en verdad la pasé bien, pero algunas cosas que no me gusto del hotel la primera es que mi refrigerador no enfriaba me trajeron otro usado de otra habitación y tampoco enfriaba mucho que digamos y yo estaba en las habitaciones Diamond lo segundo la playa para nada servía muy malaaa de verdad el buffet por la noche el servicio era pésimo, pero no era por los trabajadores era que nada más tenían a tres dependientes para atender a más de 20 personas y solo era por la noche pq los demás dependiente estaban en los restaurantes, pero tuve cosas muy buena la persona que me atendía mi habitación la mejorrr del mundo se llama Rosali sino me equivocó superbuena y los camareros Nestor,Manuela,Rudy y Angel los mejores camareros de ese hotel los mejores si algún día volviera a ese hotel solo seria por ellos .

The service from almost all staff is excellent- trying to go above and beyond. The poolside area is great- large enough to be spaced out, multiple sized pools, covered lounge options, in water lounge options, and more. The drink options and service are excellent. The food was very good. Serving size portions are smaller than typical in the US (not necessarily a bad thing). The buffet provides great options. Careful drinking too much of the tap water or water in the dispensers- we had some stomach issues throughout our week. The rooms could use some updates- the TV appeared to be going out. The thermostat was set at 55' F, but the room was never too cool. The beach is a no-go. That side of the coast is extremely rough- debris was washed up and the sand erosion was very bad. This is not a dream beach location. There is nothing immediately adjacent to the resort. Aside from excursions, your stay at the resort is limited to that
Some room updates and more water bottles or water filter stations would greatly improve the experience.

The place was old and not really like the pictures. The service was good, food average like all other all inclusive, hotel rooms are hot and smell musty. It is very hard to cool down rooms. They allow people to smoke in rooms despite rules and so when I was there every night at 2:30 the fire alarm went off and then one day it went off 4 times in an hour. Management said they couldn't do anything because it was a group who when they got asked to not smoke moved to their friends room and did it all over again. It was ridiculous so 0 stars for management. I will not stay here again. For the price you can get much better on the Caribbean side (which has better beaches)

A true upscale adults only resort with activities, great food and entertainment. Stayed in a beautiful modern and comfortable room with large balcony and scenic view. No issues with securing a comfortable spot poolside or by the ocean. Hotel staff were both friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the daily activities poolside watching and also participating.

Todos los años visitó Punta Cana y este no sería la excepción, pero por desgracia han sido las peores vacaciones, de entrada cuando nos dieron la habitación el olor a humedad era insoportable, las sabanas estaban húmedas, en el refrigerador no habían cambiadolas bebidas, todo estaba usado, la atención en el buffet pésima , estabas sentada esperando xla taza de café x rato y no aparecía nadie, no hay variedad en la comida y la elaboración muy mala, mi familia pidió en una ocasión servicio de habitación y le mandaron un termo con leche y por la tapa salían gusanos, no se si esto me dejara poner el video para que vean que es cierto todo lo que digo, comida echada a perder…..en fin lo peor de lo peor, le doy una estrella porque no hay una menor Nunca mas

No tienen organizasionninguna, son un desastre no tienen muchas personas y si por esa razon te atienden rapido en los restaurantes. Supuestamente no tienes que hacer reservaspero eso es mentira. La humedad de los cuartos es un desastre. Numca pero nunca regresaria ni de gratis y eso que todos los meses estoy en punta cana y recalco ni de gratis regresaria a este lugar. A propriedade era linda! No geral, a equipe foi atenciosa e amigável. Havia muitas opções de comida e toda a comida era muito boa (embora não nos importássemos muito com o restaurante italiano). Juan e o chef do Taj foram incríveis! Eu tenho alergias alimentares e eles se esforçaram para criar uma refeição segura e deliciosa para mim. Eu daria ao resort 5 estrelas, mas experimentamos problemas de encanamento/esgoto durante a nossa estadia (havia um cheiro forte de esgoto e a pia não drenava em nosso primeiro quarto, também tivemos problemas com a pia em nosso segundo quarto). A equipe respondeu rapidamente às nossas reclamações sobre o cheiro e nos mudou para outro quarto. Eu definitivamente voltaria a este resort, mas eu provavelmente selecionaria um edifício diferente na próxima vez. Também não havia elevadores e estávamos no terceiro andar. Isso pode ser problemático para aqueles com problemas de mobilidade.

Lembre-se de usar Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ ao reservar um resort. Este site irá comparar inúmeros sites de reservas e normalmente terá preços muito mais baratos do que outros! De nada :)! Este resort é um dos melhores nesta área. Venho aqui há muito tempo. Se você escolher este lugar, você definitivamente vai adorar, tenho certeza! Ótima estadia! Nós amamos como tudo aqui e na cidade estava a uma curta distância. Lugar incrível. Altamente recomendado!Para começar, atualizamos tudo porque foram 18 meses desde a primeira reserva para sair em 17 de março de 2020. Nadar, clube de diamantes, etc. Este resort foi incrível! Ótima comida, ótimas pessoas, nosso mordomo Samuel foi fantástico. O quarto 1106 era de primeira classe, limpo, espaçoso e ensolarado em nadar até depois das 16h. A equipe foi muito simpática e prestativa em todos os momentos. Não posso dizer muito mais, exceto que eu definitivamente voltaria!

Hola Un hotel muy chic por su concepto, exelente gastronomía, personal muy atento. La cafetería me encantó por su diseño y sus bocadillos para tomar un buen café El restaurante principal tiene una excelente vista al mar del caribe.... La playa está genial aunque a veces hay mucho viento lo que propicia que hay un poco de oleaje fuerte. El bar principal en la noche es súper agradable por todo el tipo de actividades que realizan.Si deseas levantarte temprano puedes ir a mirar el amanecer.

The property was gorgeous! Overall, the staff was helpful and friendly. There were plenty of food options and all of the food was pretty good (although we did not really care for the Italian restaurant). Juan and the chef in Taj were amazing! I have food allergies and they wen above and beyond to create a safe and delicious meal for me. I would give the resort 5 stars, but we experienced plumbing/sewage issues during our stay (there was a strong sewage smell and the sink would not drain in our first room, we also had issues with the sink in our second room). The staff responded swiftly to our complaints about the smell and moved us to another room. I would definitely return to this resort, but I would probably select a different building next time. There were also no elevators and we were on the third floor. This may be problematic for those with mobility issues.

This resort is one of the best in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you definitely will love it I'm sure! Great hotel stay! We loved how everything here and in town was within walking distance. Amazing place. Highly recommend!To start, we upgraded everything because it was 18 months in the making from first booking to leave Mar. 17/ 2020. Swim out, diamond club, etc. This resort was amazing! Great food, great people, our butler Samuel was fantastic. Room 1106 was first class, clean, roomy sunny in swim out until after 4pm. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. Can't say much more except I'd definitely go back!

Por onde eu começo? Este tinha que ter sido o melhor tudo incluído que já estive e estive em mais de 10 resorts. Os funcionários são simpáticos/úteis, a comida era EXCELENTE e a praia/jardim são bem conservados. Os restaurantes e buffet foram 10/10 e as bebidas eram excelentes. Tanta variedade e nunca ficamos doentes. Na verdade, fiquei tão chocado com o quão incrível a comida era, eu diria até que é melhor que o México. Observe que não fizemos nenhum upgrade e ainda nos divertimos muito. Eu também adorei que a praia tinha muitos guarda-sóis, cadeiras e toalhas ilimitadas.Um grande grito para Stefania e a equipe da recepção - em nosso primeiro dia, percebemos que a pressão do nosso chuveiro não estava funcionando e, em geral, o quarto estava desligado e parecia antiquado. Inicialmente, pensamos que nossas férias estavam arruinadas, mas a recepção nos garantiu que poderíamos mudar de quarto no dia seguinte, uma vez que as pessoas saíssem, pois o resort estava cheio. Eles mantiveram sua palavra e mudaram nosso quarto no dia seguinte e posso dizer com confiança, isso mudou toda a trajetória da nossa viagem. Nós até vimos empreiteiros trabalhando em nosso antigo quarto durante a semana! Isso só mostra que eles se preocupam com seus hóspedes e não querem que novos hóspedes tenham a mesma experiência de primeira noite que tivemos. 10/10 recomendo este hotel e vamos voltar! Algumas coisas a saber antes de reservar:1) o hotel fica a cerca de 45 min - 1 hora do aeroporto e você terá que pegar um táxi que custava US $ 60 por casal 2) você deve definitivamente fazer o Diamond Club, seus quartos estão em uma ótima área e vêm com vantagens extras que valem a pena. (Johan estava fora do mordomo e ele foi incrível, pergunte por ele quando você reservar) 3) As porções de comida são muito pequenas, se você está acostumado com porções americanas, deve pedir no mínimo o dobro do que normalmente faria, talvez mais se você for um grande comedor 4) Traga muitas notas menores, eles não têm muitos $ 1 e você estará dando gorjeta para bebidas e outras coisas e fomos os únicos a distribuir $ 5 5) entretenimento ao vivo começa por volta das 22h e dura cerca de uma hora todas as noites no bar do lobbyEm geral, reservei isso porque era um estabelecimento Marriott e ficamos felizes. É no lado menor, com três piscinas e fica à direita no mar, o que era bom.Johan foi incrível, tão feliz que o tivemos. Um outro grande grito foi Kelvin no bar do lobby, ele está sempre lá e faz algumas bebidas incríveis e foi incrivelmente amigável.Também fizemos uma massagem que foi legal, alguém vai se aproximar de você na piscina para um "desconto", mas é o mesmo preço que você recebe como membro do clube de diamantes.No geral, se você quiser um lugar único para adultos menores, eu viria aqui, os quartos são um pouco datados, mas a varanda mais do que compensa isso.

The resort has a very modern look which I was looking for however if you like food with flavor the buffet was not the best , breakfast was ok had variety but for lunch and dinner it was NOT the best. I was only able to try the HUNTER(steak house) restaurant and it was disgusting the rib bye was super thin and the garlic mash did not even have garlic. However the servers in the buffet need to work quicker, the bartenders were very nice and awesome to talk to, some that touched my hearts were Leonardo, and the pool bar bartendersby the munchies foodarea especially Christian! He makes awesome drinks! Aside from that the music is good the diamond club is a total scam you have to pay for a lot of things extra that you would’ve thought were free. The DINNER ON THE BEACH 250 (with a cheap champagne) DO NOT WASTE UR MONEY THE FOOD SUCKS U CAN GET THE SAME AT THE HUNTER RESTAURANT. The servers were the best part of the dinner. The resort definitely needs help on the food for sure.

Few things to know before booking:1) the hotel is about 45 min - 1 hour from the airport and you'll have to get a cab which was $60 each way per couple 2) you should def do the Diamond Club, your rooms are in a great area and come with extra perks that are worth it. (Johan was out butler and he was amazing, ask for him when you book) 3) The food portions are very small, if you are used to American portions you should order a minimum of double of what you normally would, maybe more if you are a big eater 4) Bring lots of smaller bills, they don't have a lot of $1's and you'll be tipping for drinks and stuff and we were the only ones handing out $5s 5) live entertainment starts around 10p and goes for an hour or so every night in the lobby barOverall I booked this because it was a Marriott property and we were happy. It's on the smaller side with three pools and is right on the ocean which was nice.Johan was amazing, so happy we had him. One other big shout-out was Kelvin at the lobby bar, he is always there and makes some amazing drinks and was incredibly friendly.We also did a massage which was nice, someone will approach you at the pool for a "discount" but it's the same price you get as a diamond club member.Overall if you want a smaller adults only place then I'd come here, the rooms are a bit dated but the balcony more than makes up for it.

Where do I even begin? This had to have been the best all inclusive I have ever been to and I have been to 10+ resorts. The staff are friendly/helpful, the food was OUTSTANDING and the beach/grounds are well kept. The restaurants and buffet were 10/10 and the drinks were superb. So much variety and we never got sick. I was actually so shocked at how amazing the food was, I would even argue it's better than Mexico. Please note that we didn't upgrade at all and we still had an amazing time. I also loved that the beach had a lot of umbrellas, chairs and unlimited towels.Big shout out to Stefania and the front desk staff - on our first day we noticed the pressure of our shower was not working and overall, the room was off and just seemed out dated. We initially thought our vacation was ruined but the front desk assured us that we could change rooms the next day once people checked out since the resort was full. They kept their word and changed our room the next day and I can say with confidence, this changed the whole trajectory of our trip. We even saw contractors working on our old room throughout the week! Just goes to show they care about their guests and didn't want new guests to have the same first night experience we had. 10/10 recommend this hotel and we will return! Thanks Chic Punta Cana for an incredible experience after not traveling for 2 years!!

O serviço é de primeira classe, o funcionário designado cuidou de tudo perfeitamente e a comida tem um sabor fantástico. Às vezes, quando há muita coisa acontecendo no restaurante, você espera alguns minutos a mais do que o normal, o programa é variado e há algo para todos. Se você não quer férias chatas, boa música, atendimento de primeira e praias limpas, este é o lugar para você! Boa mistura de festa e relaxamento.

La calidad de las habitaciones muy normaliza. Resort com tudo incluso. Os drinks são diversos e nada muito forte o que é bom, do contrário, ninguém aguentaria passar o dia todo bebendo. Os atendentes são muito gentis, raros os casos não tão agradáveis. Há um restaurante que serve o café da manhã, almoço e jantar no esquema buffet e também, outros restaurantes (italiano, japonês, steak house, indiano) que são simplesmente bárbaros!!! A praia não é nada linda, em janeiro ela é brava, com rebentação, nenhuma calmaria não. Preferimos a piscina e a pool party que são animadas!!! A noite tem bar e disco aberta até um pouquinho mais tarde que agita o pessoal!! Meu marido, eu e nossos amigos nos divertimos bastante kkkkk. Nunca tinha feito uma viagem deste estilo "only adults" para curtição total então, foi bem bacana!!

O resort é lindo e espaçoso, com muitas áreas para descontrair e relaxar enquanto observa algumas pessoas. Há uma boa variedade de restaurantes e o spa é fabulosamente decorado com uma variedade de opções de massagens, envolvimento e tratamentos faciais para o frequentador mais esnobe do spa! Nosso mordomo deixou um pouco mais a desejar, mas nosso garçom Carlos e o cara do vinho / assistente quase pessoal Gabriel B ajudaram a tornar essas mini-férias divertidas e memoráveis. Se eu tivesse alguma sugestão a fazer, eles seriam contratar funcionários mais fluentes que falem inglês e insistir que TODOS os mordomos fiquem focados em fazer o check-in diariamente com seus convidados designados (aprendendo suas preferências e desgostos).

The resort is beautiful and spacious with so many areas to chill out & relax while getting some good people watching. There are a good assortment of restaurants and the spa is fabulously appointed w/a variety of massage, wrap and facial options for the snobbiest spa goer! Our butler left a little more to be desired, but our waiter Carlos and wine guy/almost personal asst Gabriel B helped to make this mini-vacation a fun and memorable one. If I had any suggestions to make, they would be to hire more fluent English-speaking employees and to insist that ALL butlers are hypee-focused on checking in daily w/their assigned guests (learning their preferences and dislikes).

O hotel é bonito, a comida é OKAYY…. não o melhor, tudo está bem no geral, mas o que arruinou todo o resort foi o atendimento ao cliente e o centro de testes Covid. Tive um voo 72 horas desde o dia em que iria fazer o teste, mas eles não me deixaram fazer os testes porque tive que vir um dia antes, o que não faz sentido, não preciso de um teste cobiçoso. 96 horas Preciso de 72 horas. A parte engraçada é que havia um casal com a mesma data de voo que nós e eles foram testados, mas quando queríamos eles disseram que não. Eu também disse a eles que o casal vai viajar no mesmo dia que nós e eles ficaram discutindo dizendo não quando eu FALAR LITERALMENTE para o casal e eles disseram que sim, temos o mesmo voo. Então a enfermeira vasculha os papéis para encontrar a fatura daquele casal e nos diz que eles não têm o mesmo voo. Engraçado é que quando o cara do atendimento verificou o jornal mostra que o vôo deles é na mesma data que a gente. Mentirosos, juro que perdemos cerca de uma hora discutindo apenas para fazer o teste, o que no final das contas estamos fazendo o teste porque foi o erro deles. Foi uma experiência tão ruim que também foi tão irritante que viemos aqui para um bom tempo, agora eles arruinaram nosso dia inteiro e humor. Também é engraçado que a língua que falam é “dinheiro” e “dicas”.

The hotel is pretty, food is OKAYY…. not the best, everything is alright overall but what ruined this whole resort is their customer service and their Covid testing center. I had a flight 72 hours from the day I was going to go get tested but they don’t let me get testes because it I had to come a day before which doesn’t make sense I don’t need a covid test 96 hours I need 72 hours. Funny part is that there was a couple with the same date flight has us and they got tested but when we wanted to they said no. I also told them that the couple is going on same day as us and they kept arguing saying no when I LITERALLY SPOKE to the couple and they said yes we have the same flight. So then the nurse goes through the papers to find the invoice of that couple and tells us they don’t have the same flight. Funny Is that when the guy from costumer service checked the paper it shows their flight is the same date as us. Such liars I swear we wasted about an hour going back and forth arguing just for us to get tested which turns out at the end we are getting tested because it was their mistake. Such a bad experience it was also sooo annoying we came here for a good time now they ruined our whole day and mood. Also a fun fact the language they speak is “money” and “tips”.

O serviço estava faltando. A integração foi, de longe, a pior. Os quartos não estavam prontos e um grupo de nós solicitou quartos no mesmo prédio e disseram que sim, mas acabamos ficando com quartos em edifícios diferentes. Não fomos informados sobre quaisquer amenidades, entretenimento, restaurantes. Apenas um mapa e o número do quarto. Eles nem mesmo apontaram o prédio para nós.Meu quarto tinha muitos problemas. O cofre não funcionou, a TV não funcionou e água vazou para o quarto através da divisória da parede de vidro depois que eu tomei um banho. Liguei para a recepção para limpar e corrigir os problemas e me disseram que os problemas seriam corrigidos. Voltei para o quarto após 4-5 horas e nenhum dos problemas foi resolvido. Liguei novamente e eles enviaram um técnico para examinar o problema. Depois de passar 2-3 horas do meu tempo, eles finalmente concordaram em mudar o meu quarto. Mas eles perderam muito do meu tempo enquanto me faziam esperar, pois eles tinham problemas técnicos para mudar a chave do meu quarto.A comida era boa, mas foi uma longa espera por todos os restaurantes a-la-carte. Nem todos os restaurantes estavam abertos todos os dias. Além disso, os membros Diamante podiam fazer reservas com antecedência nesses restaurantes e nos disseram para vir às 18h para colocar nossos nomes. Colocamos nosso nome na 2ª noite no Vespa Italian e quando chegamos lá às 20h30, fomos avisados para esperarmos mais, embora metade do restaurante estivesse vazio. A comida em todos os restaurantes à la carte demorou uma eternidade para sair. Os servidores não foram muito atenciosos e deram errado os nossos pedidos e teríamos itens alimentares em falta.O entretenimento e meu grupo de amigos foram a única graça salvadora.

Now here’s what you want to know; no top shelf drinks, pool close at 7pm, butler is great, staff is amazing, and food is blah blah blah. Overall I won’t be coming back to this resort. Depending on what you like, I like to have fun and this resort was a bit boring, this resort is for my mother or retirees. Overall a 3 out of 5.

The service was lacking. The onboarding was the worst by far. Rooms were not ready and a group of us requested rooms in the same building and were told yes, but we ended up with rooms in different buildings. We weren't told about any amenities, entertainment, restaurants. Just a map and room number. They didn't even point the building to us.My room had a lot of issues. The safe didn't work, the tv didn't work, and water leaked into the room through the glass wall divider after I took a shower. I called the front desk to clean up and fix the issues and I was told the issues would be fixed. I returned to the room after 4-5 hours and none of the issues were resolved. I called again and they sent a technician to look at the issue. After spending 2-3 hours of my time, they finally agreed to change my room. But they wasted so much of my time as they made me wait around as they had technical issues changing my room key.They food was okay but their was a long wait for all the a-la-carte restaurants. Not all the restaurants were open everyday. Also, Diamond members could make reservations ahead at these restaurants and we were told to come at 6pm to put our names down. We put our name down the 2nd night at the Vespa Italian and when we got there at 8:30pm, we were told to wait longer even though half the restaurant was empty. The food at all the a-la-carte restaurants took forever to come out. Servers weren't very attentive and got our orders wrong and we would have missing food items.The entertainment and my group of friends were the only saving grace.

* Mais do que um lugar perfeito, belo design. SERVIÇO INCRÍVEL * O design dos quartos é muito bom, espaçoso, luxuoso, com duche muito grande. Lugar muito limpo, o serviço é impecável. A escolha de restaurantes no local é deliciosa e variada. Tudo o que fazem é cuidado com os mínimos detalhes, são muito atenciosos. O lugar é simplesmente lindo, a localização é ótima para sair e fazer atividades nas proximidades. Hotel para adultos com excelente ambiente e entretenimento em vários momentos do dia e da noite. DO NOT PATRONIZE MELIÁ PUNTA CANA BEACH RESORT (Adults Only). I am a travel enthusiast and have been to several resorts around the world that provided top tier service, beautiful clean rooms, a variety of amenities, and delicious food.My travel party booked ocean view/Level rooms at the same time. When we got to the resort only one of us (who paid less) got a Level suite room while the rest of us did not. Our first room did not have an ocean view that Meliá advertises on their website. The front desk told us that we would have to pay additional money to upgrade… although we paid more. After serious pushback and making plans to cancel and go to another resort (Royalton CHIC Punta Cana); we were asked by the staff to give them a chance to correct things. They transferred 2 of us to rooms that had a somewhat ocean view and with the exact same layout. This process took an entire day.Hospitality The customer service is subpar as a whole (there are only a small handful of helpful staff members). There is a noticeable difference in their treatment of guests who speak fluent Spanish or of Latino heritage. We tried to speak as much Spanish that we are capable of. While we do not expect for the staff to learn every language to accommodate guests, we expect the same level of service for everyone regardless of nationality and origin.Rooms The electrical system appears to be wired by 1st graders. You have to play musical wall switch just to get certain lights and ceiling fan to work. The bathroom in my first room were full of ants and the toilet in my second room ran constantly. I notified the front desk and it was finally fixed the day before we were to check out. Before anyone asks, yes I jiggled the handle. The towels and bedding were itchy and dirty with obvious stains. This may be due to their laundry detergent however.Room keys are subject to stop working at any given time. 1 person in our travel party had this happen twice. One time was at night after coming back from dinner. She had to walk to concierge to get a replacement key. The other time was coming back to her room after spending the day on the beach. A maid had to let her in because it took them over 30 minutes to get her a working key.Beach & Pool Area The beach and pool area are nice and clean. However, there are independent vendors that come on the resort property trying to sell excursions, and products. They can be very persistent and makes the relaxing experience unenjoyable. Side note: There are signs in the Beach/Pool areato be aware of vendors as the resort is not responsible for any damages from the excursions.To add, in speaking with other guests; they were also unhappy with this resort.This was our first time at this resort and we’re very disappointed. We chose this resort based on their previous reviews.To Meliá: You never know who is staying at your resort and the influence they may have. Please do better for all of your guests.

A comida não é boa neste lugar, eu comi o bife mais fino do mundo na churrascaria deles. Muitas coisas têm um custo extra em restaurantes, eu simplesmente não achei que o preço com tudo incluído fosse justificado. Bebidas e serviço é bom nos bares da piscina no andar térreo, mas a piscina do andar superior tinha um mau serviço. Eles não são bons em servir água quando solicitados e isso era muito importante no calor.Dito isto, os quartos eram excelentes, daí as três estrelas.

The food isn’t good at this place, I had the worlds thinnest steak at their steakhouse. A lot of things are extra charge at restaurants, I just didn’t feel like the all inclusive price tag was justified. Drinks and service is good at the pool bars downstairs but the upstairs pool had poor service. They are not good about serving water when asked and that was so important in the heat.
That being said, the rooms were excellent hence the three stars.

Worst resort we’ve ever stayed in. After paying thousands of dollars our view was literally the parking lot. It was a scam they pulled to upgrade us by paying $800 more to a better room. Then the toilet overflowed cause they didn’t allow people to flush toilet paper. Even the food was the worst. We absolutely couldn’t believe it. Stay away from this resort!!

Myself and my buddy from school days decided to take a guys trip for our birthday, we are both black successful business men. On our first visit to the pool/foam party were stopped and searched while other folks who were of a different skin color walked by without a problem. One white gentleman came to me after the situation and said he saw the entire thing and he's sorry that racism is still alive. Shocking huh?
I was a diamond club member when I stayed at this hotel and all was fine up to that point. After taking it up with Cesar the head supervisor at the diamond club on my last day, I was told that we would be given a 2 day, 2 night stay as a way of making up for this obvious racial act. To date/3 weeks later we have received no communication from the hotel via email or phone. They straight out lied to us. Now I don't want anything from them but if you are going to assume blame and say you're going to fix something then do so or you end up with a bad review. It's simple!

Resort fantástico em uma praia espetacular. Na necessidade de algumas reformas, mas parece que eles estão começando alguns. O clube Diamond vale a atualização para melhores acomodações e vantagens exclusivas. A comida era boa, assim como o entretenimento, especialmente a banda de tributo ao Queen (absolutamente fantástica!) E a noite do circo (artistas incríveis!) Minha principal reclamação foi o fumo. Você podia praticamente fumar em todos os lugares, exceto dentro dos próprios restaurantes. Até o saguão onde a banda toca e os outros shows de entretenimento. Totalmente imprudente, mas sem aplicação de nenhuma política de fumantes, acho que não fumantes não somos tão importantes quanto os fumantes. 🤬😠🤥

Maravilhoso, fácil experiência relaxada. Os funcionários foram simpáticos, as instalações eram limpas e a comida era ampla e razoavelmente boa em relação ao que estou acostumado na América do Norte. Adorei a pizza e lagosta. Ótima xícara de café expresso. A praia, a água e o sol eram simplesmente magníficos. Grato por sua academia no local e facilidade de movimento no local. Grato às pessoas (funcionários) que cuidaram bem de nossos quartos, comida, lavanderia e, em geral, nosso bem-estar com sorrisos amplos.A vida é boa! :)

En muy acogedor para pasar un rato en tranquilidad, el hotel es pequeño buen punto para poder disfrutarlo. Desde el servicio en recepción cuando llegas, te dan un gran recibimiento, la habitación era de ensueño. Me encantó el restaurante Hunter, exquisito corte servido. El buffet de comida, siempre variado y la animación muy divertida tanto de día como de noche.

Lovely staff and the food is excellent. What let's this resort down is the noise,or so called entertainment. If you're between the ages of 18 and 30 and like constant noise from 10am to 7pm so loud the person sitting next to you can't hear a single word you say you'd like it here. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday this is not the place for you.

Wonderful, easy relaxed experience. Staff were friendly, premises were clean and food was ample and reasonably good relative to what I am used to in North America. Loved the pizza and lobster. Great cup of espresso. The beach, water and sun were simply magnificent. Thankful for their gym on the premises and ease of movement on the premises. Thankful to the folks (staff) that took good care of our rooms, food, laundry and overall our well being with ample smiles to go around.Life is Good! :)

Amazing staff, from our personal butler Rolando to the food supervisor's Eddy and Francisco. My wife was ill during our stay, and all the staff I encountered helped out the best they could. This is a smaller place than what I'm used to, but having a private swim out pool from the room was great. All inclusive, adults only, daily entertainment day and night. One minor set back is that the resort lost power 2 days in a row. But the WiFi was still working when this happened at least.

Fantastic resort on a spectacular beach. In need of some renovations but it looks like they are starting some. Diamond club is worth the upgrade for better accommodations and exclusive perks. Food was good and so was the entertainment especially the Queen tribute band (absolutely fantastic!) and the circus night (incredible performers!)
My major complaint was the smoking. You could pretty much smoke everywhere except inside the restaurants themselves. Even the lobby where the band plays and the other entertainment shows were. Totally inconsiderate but with no enforcement of any smoking policy I guess us non smokers are not as important as the smokers.

This is my short review, longer to follow. Here for 2 days so far, out of 14. A/C works great, toilet flushes properly (tp goes in small lidded garbage can beside toilet). Some musty smell, not bad, needs a dehumidifier (after 2 days I no no longer smell must). People super friendly, no pressure for tips. Excellent food. No kids, and small number of people in general. Come here, and you will enjoy.

This was my first vacation and I was like a kid on Christmas. Most of the other guests were like calm down lady, but the staff was super nice about how pumped I was. They had really good shows and super charismatic staff and the pool and beach were gorgeous. The only thing I didn't love was the food, but I am American so that is probably a plus for a lot of you. And even though the menu wasn't right up my alley, the service was still amazing and I loved it!

I was in Chic for the Christmas 3 week ago. The place is fairly clean and the beach was good. The food mediocre and sometimes not good. The entertainment quality poor as well. Some of the staff were good some of them needs more training. I give this hotel 2.5 - 3 star maximum.

El lugar ya es diferente, parece ser nuevo y desde mi punto de vista es pequeño si lo comparas con otros hoteles de la zona, la comida estuvo bien, no es algo del otro mundo pero bien. Con relación a la playa el acceso es bueno y en general las playas de la zona todas son geniales. El personal fue muy atento y amable. Tienen servicio al cuarto e incluyen internet y minibar. En general creo que se puede visitar pero sin altas expectativas.
